Duet2WifiError:short-to-grnd/over temp shtdwn reprted by driver2

Limited knowledge of Duet 2 wifi but I have run into this error. I have checked the wiring and believe that it is ok, but not sure if I fried the driver. Any one have any suggestions. Thanks,
-
what is connected to that driver? does it move?
what firmware version are you running?
-
@Veti the x axis motor is connected to that driver port. I have be unable to move anything because once powered on I get alerted with the error. I am running 3.1.1 fw. Thanks
-
Please post your config.g and the results of M122.
Do you still get the error with nothing connected to that driver?
-
@Phaedrux I apologize it is the Z Axis that is connected to the Driver 2 location. I am utilizing the Option A with the two jumpers on the ZB pins. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
-
@Phaedrux, the error is still present when the Z motor is disconnected from the board.

that usually indicate the driver has failed; as you're not using the E1 driver I would disconnect the Z motro, measure the resistance between all the pins and to ground to rule out a problem with wiring and re-map the Z drive from driver 2 to driver 4.
-
When and where did you purchase the Duet board?
It does sound like the driver has failed.
-
@Phaedrux Purchased board on 04/19/19, but I have not got around to wiring it up until this month.
-
@snsmith0114 I see. That would mean that the driver has failed outside of the warranty period.
I would suggest you try the what Bearer has suggested above.
If you have a free driver available you can remap the Z axis to use that driver instead using M584. You can then disable the failed driver to silence the warnings with M569 P# R-1 where P# is the number of the failed driver.
