@dc42 said in Duet 3 Mini 5+ : Initial announcement:

have almost 300 pre-production boards early in December, so there should be enough for those who want to try them. We are hopeful that these boards will pass the relevant CE approval tests, but we can't guarantee this because so far we have only run some of these tests (the ones most likely to fail) and on a previous PCB revision. That's why we are calling them

nice where can i sing up for preorder

@poohzaza we won't be running a pre-order for those. They will be for sale our website and hopefully some resellers as well.

Someone evidently didn't look at the specs before posting....

The PCB is not the same between wifi and ethernet like for Duet2 ?
I love the possibility to swap from wifi to Ethernet by swap the wifi module to Ethernet module on Duet 2, it's cheaper than buy an another Duet.

Probably wise to use a fan, but my guess is that you wouldn't get any overheat warnings even without fan cooling.

Great that sd-slot doesn´t sit under the ethernet any more, so easier to get the card out 🙂

thats a clone of the duet 3. hmm
most of the time the clones cheap out on the copper in the pcb, which means the pcb can not act as a heatsink like its supposed to. that is why you see heatsinks on the clone boards.
