I've gone through all the steps to connect and reset the card.
      It is still unresponsive.
With USB power applied all the lights light up and stay on, 5.0, 3.3 volt and DIAG.
The next step is to erase the firmware.
      Should I proceed?

Before you erase the firmware check the device manager to see what shows up.

Have you tried using YAT yet to see if it will respond to commands?

The USB port is not functioning I cannot load firmware.

This is very vague. What exactly are you trying to do and what exactly is happening?

        Have you gone through this?

          Yes Sir,

I've had another ethernet duet connected to this PC and it worked fine.

I tried YAT with no success.
I am trying to go through Getting connected. This is where the problem is.
I am trying to load the firmware and I have no USB connectivity.
I've tried several ports and 3 different cables.
Is this the info you require?duet.jpg

Again, before trying to do anything with the firmware let's see if it's actually working. The board should ship with firmware on it and will have gone through testing before it leaves the factory. If you pull the SD card and check it on your PC you can open the config.g file in the /sys/ folder. Inside there should be a command M552 S1 that will have the network obtain a DHCP IP address. Then you just need to connect your ethernet cable and connect it to your router and it should be ready to connect to in your browser at http://duet.local assuming that the printer name set in the config.g is also duet.

I pulled the SD card and checked it on my PC.

The config.g file does not open and windows asks for the program to open it.

@frankfisk4 open it with notepad, it's just a plain text file

@frankfisk4 are you able to communicate with your other board using YAT and the same USB cable? If so, then please fit the Erase jumper to the non-responsive board, press the Reset button, and see if the Bossa port appears on the PC in Device Manager ->Ports. If it doesn't then I will approve a warranty replacement.

Can you also change that address to a valid unoccupied address on your network and then try to reach it from a browser or ping while an ethernet cable is connected to the Duet?

On the SD card there should also be a folder called /www/ that has some web files in it.

Hi, that printer was sold long ago but I'm using it's original USB cable and the one that came with the new duet.
I am still unable to communicate with the board using YAT and any combination of the 3 USB cords or 4 USB PC ports I have access to.
Should I erase the board as you outlined?

Go for it. Hopefully it will wake up this time.

                            Hi,
I did as instructed. Now the2nd LED is on next to to USB port and no Bossa port appears in the device manager.

Where do I go from here?

                            Thanks

No and it doesn't show in the device menu either.
