        @peirof One big advantage I found is you don't need a PC full stop when in SBC mode and it's easy to update, there are pro's and con's with both method's I'm sure but if you are on a budget it's a winner 🙂

          I thinks it's funny to use a Win-PC 😉

            Is it ok to turn power off arbitrarily or does the PI, being a full fledge computer, needs time to flash pending data to disks and such?

              @zapta I've never shut mine down properly and I've had it setup since the mini 5 came out. No corruption here

                @zapta I suggest reading this thread https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/15767/can-o-worms-pi-shutdown-vs-power-off

                  @zapta I've always turned mine off and on with a wired in switch with no issues so far that's going on 2 years now...but you never know, I'm also using the duet3 6HC not the mini but I don't believe it makes a difference, least I hope not! 🙂

                  @o_lampe hindsight is a wonderful thing, I should of thought that one through!

                  @peirof just to clarify, to me its a great advantage that you can find/make the STL's, then slice them and print them all using SBC

                    If you use onshape, i guess you can also design parts on the sbc.

                      @zapta I've not tried Onshape, but I do use Wings3D, blender and freecad works too I believe, prusaslicer to slice and your all good!
