Is filament chnage required?

Hello to all,

I always get the following message:

<Is filament change reuqired? navigate to the macros tab and press filament Change.>

Where are the values defined?
How can we disable that.
How can I reset the values to zero and define when the message comes??
etc..

I´m using 5kg filament.

What do you see if you click the Filament item in the DWC?

If i click on filaments

there is nothing listed.

At the right bottom i get an orange box with the following mesages:

<Failed to get filelist
 directory 0:/filaments not found>

OK that is what I wanted to know. But it means that message about requiring a filament change is coming from somewhere else.

In your System folder do you have any files like these?

I don't think having an empty file would lead to that message. And the M116 is just waiting for the tool heater to reach temp.

Maybe that code is in your slicer. You are using IdeaMaker?

I don't use that but I have it. I will take a look at its code generation and see if it could be the source of that message.

In IdeaMaker under Filament Settings there is this place for Custom GCode. Do you have anything there?

I see the message during printing.

Can you zip up your full config file set and share it here?

That message is coming from somewhere. Possibly a filament sensor?

Is it coming continuously when printing?

IdeaMaker uses what they call Templates. Templates have several places where code can be entered.

For whatever template is being used when you get the filament message check all of the possible code places shown below:

you can change the extension to .txt and upload it or use a file sharing cloud service.
