      I am pleased to announce that our first RP2040 based CAN-FD in now available for sale at https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005710321309.html
      This toolboard is compatible with STM32F4 boards when combined with an spican module, STM32H7 boards and Duet3D 3 series boards. You must be using RRF 3.5beta4. The toolboards include an LIS3DH accelerometer onboard as well as support for Neopixels.
      Information on the toolboard can be found here https://teamgloomy.github.io/fly_rrf_36_general.html and the schematic can be found here https://github.com/Mellow-3D/Fly-RRF-36/blob/master/Hardware/Schematic_Fly_RRF-36.pdf

        Good news! Are there any plans for a Stealthburner specific board to? For us Voron guys/gals (and those between)?

              @Exerqtor the SB2040 variant would be based on the SB2040v2 that flymaker sells now

                        @jay_s_uk Heyy I just saw this now;

                        Looks wicked!

                        A couple questions;

                        1- I see the encoder options are unavailable; is this still in development?
                        I could I install the hall sensor myself on the unpopulated board version if there's a firmware for it

                        2- What is the USB-C for? Firmware update?

                          @fractalengineer I am not Jay, but I can offer some answers.

                          1. support for the encoder, and so far no use case for an encoder on a board that is probably always being used for an extruder motor has been presented.
                          2. THe USB-C is for initial firmware installation. The latest RRF beta can do updates by way of M997 IIRC

                            @oliof thank you for your answer,

                            Interesting I could totally see it used to detect extruder jams, or correcting for small shifts/stalls when extruding at the limits of the hot end envelope

                            Either way the UVP seem rather attractive already I'll be getting one regardless 🙂

                              Do you reckon there might be any issue running it at 29.4V?

                              I've checked the schematics, looks like the main 12V buck IC can take up to 40V, but the 2209 appears rated 29V and I'm not sure about the heater fet

                              I'm running fat Nema23 I need all the voltage I can have to get decent speeds lol

                                    @fractalengineer I wonder how good of a match the TMC2209 and a fat NEMA23 motor will be? You'd have to throttle down the current so much, that there's not much torque left. You'll probably end up in NEMA17-range but with much bigger rotor inertia...

                                      @o_lampe Oh no the X/Y I'm running on TMC5160 from my Duet3MB6HC; I've found 65% of the rated 2.4A to be a good balance for my drivetrain.

                                      Ideally I would have loved to try a board with a separate driver power rail to send them 48V but that would mean switching over to klipper

                                      I have a whole couple threads on the forum if you want to learn more about running/tuning for big steppers

                                        On my CNC I'm using a Mellow Fly board with a split high-voltage driver rail (3x high voltage, 5x board supply voltage). It runs on RRF and allows mixing various stepper drivers. Not sure about it's CAN-FD abilities, but there are newer boards from Fly...
