RE: Duet 3 Mini 5+ Short to Ground Error
@phaedrux It's now doing the same thing as before except just when the machine is powered on instead of after a print, and I changed nothing. So I'm not sure how much switching stealthchop off is going to help in this case.
-
RE: Duet 3 Mini 5+ Short to Ground Error
@phaedrux Ok, I'm using sensorless homing on this printer and it looks like it can't be used with spreadcycle, as I found out here https://teamgloomy.github.io/sensorless.html .
-
RE: Duet 3 Mini 5+ Short to Ground Error
@3dmakerkid actually, Does sensorless homing require stealthchop to be on? I can't seem to recall

Duet 3 Mini 5+ Short to Ground Error
Hello everyone, I have been running a Duet 3 MIni 5+ in my Bear for awhile and recently started getting this error, which doesn't sound very good to me.
This happens seemingly randomly when a print ends and if I turn the printer off for about a day and come back, it's fine. Often accompanied by this error is the X or Y axis refusing to move and making an intermittent ticking sound (X is plugged into driver 0 and Y to drive 1). I have heard that there was an issue with a revision of the board awhile back with this issue, so I'm not sure if maybe my board was a part of that batch? I'm running this version of firmware "RepRapFirmware for Duet 3 Mini 5+ 3.3 (2021-06-15)" according to DWC, which is version 3.3.0. -
RE: Motors not Moving and Getting Very Hot
@alankilian The motors aren't getting hot anymore for some reason, I did absolutely nothing to fix them. It's great that it seems to have fixed itself, but this happening randomly is not going to be a great thing... Also, my Y axis now will not sensorless home properly, even at a S value of 60, it's still just moving about a mm and thinking it's homed, otherwise, motion works great.

RE: Motors not Moving and Getting Very Hot
@alankilian Board is a Duet 3 Mini 5+, firmware is "RepRapFirmware for Duet 3 Mini 5+ 3.3 (2021-06-15)" according to DWC, this is kind of a new problem, I noticed my Z motors acting weird a week or so ago and getting extremely hot, but thought I had fixed it by correctly crimping the one motor wire, printed fine for a few days, and now this. I changed absolutely nothing before this print, except that this was a new gcode file that I had just sliced. Config.g and config-override.g are below.

Motors not Moving and Getting Very Hot
Ok so I started a print last night before I went out of the house, got back, print completed perfectly, but the printer was just sitting there with extremely hot motors (they made the PETG they were mounted on get soft). X Y, and one Z motor won't move, those are all burning hot to the touch, the other Z motor and the extruder motor work fine. The processor on the board is also hitting 70C while doing seemingly nothing, drivers are at around the same temp. All hot motors are also making a weird kind of "ticking" noise.

RE: Wifi Suddenly Stopped Working on Duet 3 Mini 5+
@phaedrux It was empty, wifi works fine when I copy everything over into a new config.g file, I did save config.g and reboot right before the wifi dropped. Looks like my psu is dead and not putting out 24V anymore too, completely unrelated though.
-
RE: Wifi Suddenly Stopped Working on Duet 3 Mini 5+
@3dmakerkid Am now using the config.g.bak file, but I'm getting under voltage warnings, even though there is no usb plugged in, it's on 24v power.
-
RE: Wifi Suddenly Stopped Working on Duet 3 Mini 5+
@jay_s_uk Looks like my entire config.g file is wiped for some reason? Sorry for taking so long to respond, lost the micro sd card for 3 hours.
-
RE: Wifi Suddenly Stopped Working on Duet 3 Mini 5+
@jay_s_uk Did it and it connected to wifi again.

RE: Wifi Suddenly Stopped Working on Duet 3 Mini 5+

RE: Wifi Suddenly Stopped Working on Duet 3 Mini 5+
@jay_s_uk Ran that command and got this back, also is probably worth noting that the wifi module led is not on when I plugged it in via usb to my computer. I'm using CuteCom to connect to it if that matters.

@jay_s_uk Nope, LED on the wifi module still doesn't come on.

@jay_s_uk All 4 of those LEDs are lit, LED status is blinking at 1hz as normal.
