@brampie That could have shorted the SPI bus that the drivers use to communicate. Give the board a good clean off, then connect via USB and see if the drivers are available again.

I have created PR489 for this with my changes.

Disclaimer; I'm not a native Dutch speaker and have never worked in a workshop here, so I may have missed things, used wrong terms or made other mistakes.. Still, it should be better than before 😉

I'm having some issues with the included cable, it's fairly short and stiff, I'll try and order the XT30+2 connector and crimp a cable myself.

If duet would decide to make a "simple" direct drive toolboard using the same connectors as the duet5 mini, using the same stepper driver, I would certainly buy that.

I tried buying the duet one last year but was unable to find it at that time.
It uses some special parts if I'm not mistaken, for my design
you need 4 flanged bearings, 2 X-seal rubbers, a couple of washers, a magnet and a hal effect sensor, on my board the sensor is connected directly to the board and works as on/off switch, I think this is possible on a duet board as well.

On the effector I have 2 hotends that can rotate, if head 1 is active head 2 sits a couple of mm above the print bed.
The difference in height between the 2 heads is minimal, 0.2mm or so, and can vary a bit every time I replace or remount the nozzle, in my experience remounting the nozzle can have a small impact on the z-height.

I don't home between prints, so that shouldn't cause the issue

I think I got it working , I made a couple of wrong assumptions, most importantly offset Z needs to be -0.2 is the second head is 0.2mm higher.
