Well I did the inevitable tried a voltage check on a fan terminal on my Duet WiFi, as you know the pins are quite close and I let the tester leads touch. Does this mean a new board or is there a work around?

I’m just a beginner trying to modify and update my Delta printer. I’m installing a Duet Wi-Fi board and know this is a very elementary question for most hobbyists.
In wiring the Duet board I would like to know what is normally a Fan 0, Fan1, Fan2 and what fans are normally always on?

Thanks for the link, I've been their several times. But tonight I decided to start at step one and follow each step.
And by doing so was able to reconnect.

No, it is not connected to the internet it is scanning for a network. It locates my network and list it and then the scan reports the following…

WiFi reported error: no known networks found
WiFi module is idle
ESP reported status change
And after the reported status change it starts the scan all over again and stays in a loop.

The WiFi: scan for networks finishes it's scan and reports "scandone" and show's available networks and then continues to scan again and again in a constant cycle, and never stops.

Any Ideas?

Read your response and took a brake went and got sum Pizza and the solution was their. I resolved the problem, Heater 1 wiring was the red and Heater 2 was the black and they connect to the PWM FANS on the duet. Same for the Cooling Fan 1 and Cooling Fan2. You know how the solution is right in your face but you can't see it.

I brought a duet because of all the trouble I had with the original MKS subbase and need some help with a few connections.
I have a label that reads “Heater 1” and another label that reads “Heater 2” on my TLM, can you or someone else explain where these connect on a Duet3D Wi-Fi Board. Also I have a label “Cooling Fan 1” and a label “Cooling Fan 2” that I need help with also.

To make sure I’m on the same rabbit trail as you, would the following be correct.
If I exchange the current Duet2 Wi-Fi board for a Duet2 Ethernet board and connect it to my computer I could print directly from the computer via Duet Web Control?
Or would I be printing from my computer via printer firmware (Repetier-Host/Simpilify3D etc.) ?

And by the way thanks for your help and being there for hobbyist like me.

Spectrum will not turn on manual or give me a static address. They are telling me the solution would be 1- leave the printer on continually 2- Get my own service and router so I would have complete control.
I do not want to go that way at all.
Does Duet have a stand-alone card that is not WiFi, that I can use on my Tevo Delta Printer?

GOOD NEWS!> It's up and running....
Spectrum had to manually add the Duet in their master device list even though I added it into my personal device list

Bad News> Spectrum cannot give me a static address or they don't want to.

So I'm thinking if I shut down the Duet it may not connect again because the IP will change. What do I do from this point on???

I’m not sure I want to give that information in this forum, but it is set to Automatic (DHCP)

What is the address of your Router?
I do not have a personal Router. Please read description below. I do know it is an Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165

A little information about my setup:
1- I’m connected into a commercial community setup with the internet provider “Spectrum Community Solutions”.
2- I have no control of any of the equipment ( Modem/Router etc. ) They own it…
3- I have to sign in to Spectrum Community Solutions WiFi from my computer any time I add a new device then add the device to a list of authorized devices. And then and only then connect the device to my WiFi network.
4- There is a local Spectrum office twenty minutes from my home, but they are not authorized to work on or do any trouble shooting on this setup. I have to work directly with Spectrum Community Solutions WiFi.

Let me try to explain the best I can… The firmware is pointing to IP address 10.1.50.4 and the Duet board is pointing to 10.2.107.215

which address does the duet have? is it static or dhcp?
I don’t know for sure if it’s a dynamic IP address via DHCP or a static address… I’m pretty sure it’s DHCP which is the default for most setups. By the way the setup did not give me an opportunity to select one or the other.

same for the computer?
My computer is on a Private Net- Work and the IP assignment is set to Automatic (DHCP)

• When I send the IP address assigned to the Duet, I get
Hmmm…can’t reach this page

• When I ping the address I get
Pinging xx.x.xx.x with 32 bytes of data: Request timed out.

• When I try to access the Duet by typing "http://duettest.local/" I get
Site can’t be reachedduettest.local’s server IP address could not be found.

• This is a brand new Duet 2 Wifi board bought from Filastruder

• I called my internet provider “Spectrum” and traced the IP address and to our amassment the address I was typing in was being routed as a different address, Hmmm….

• Need someone with technical experance on this board for HELP
