    • RE: NEW Duet3D documentation site - now official!

      Love It.

I do not know if this is planned but a simple / complex .htaccess on original site will auto send people to correct pages on new site and allow search engines to quickly update the links.

      I think like on
      https://duet3d.dozuki.com/.htaccess

      <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
      RewriteEngine On
      RewriteRule ^Wiki/M303/ https://docs.duet3d.com/User_manual/Reference/Gcodes#m303-run-heater-tuning [L,R=301]
      RewriteRule ^c/Individual_Gcodes/ hhttps://docs.duet3d.com/en/User_manual/Reference/Gcodes [L,R=301]

    • Fluid Vibration Isolation/Stabilizer vs/with, Accelerometer

Back when I had a bow and arrow for target practice I had a Fluid Vibration Stabilizer. Could same be used on our printers? Also used in buildings, bridges….

Could the data gathered by the Accelerometer be used to fine tune a set of stabilizers?

Would a physical solution vs the Accelerometer gives with software be better/faster?

      Thanks!

    • RE: Mini Hotend fan turns off once part fan is turned on

Think I fixed it, same original config codes. I just bumped the NEW part fan wire and the fan stopped. so I took it off.. both solders had excess wire that were in contact.

re-soldered and installed all worked now, and both fans will run when I change the part fan speed no matter the speed.

Glad the Duet Mini board did not get fried ....

      thanks

    • Turn off Touch for PanelDue 7I

I have my PanelDue 7I in a hand held case that I can move around or mount next to printer. However I have twice touched cancel by accident while picking up or moving panel while 3D print jobs were running.

I would love to have a switch on my case for the PanelDue to turn off and on the touch ability.

      Is this possible?

Be nice if a single wire or trace could be broken to insert a switch. And it would have to be able to be switched on and off while powered on and running. Hot swap touch ability.

Right know once PanelDue has been sitting I have to press it once to get it on then pres what I wanted. Could there be a swipe to open like on phones. And a screen lock button?

      Thanks!

    • Headaches from 3D Printing? Are you allergic to Latex?

Does any 3D printing fumes give you a headache? Are you allergic to Latex?

So, I’m allergic to Latex and my skin doctor tells me there is a link between resin and ABS 3D printing. He said Resin was much worse and ABS was rare.

Since ABS FDM gives me a headache I have each of my printers in cased in a tent with a large carbon filter (from indoor grow) recirculating the chambers air. This has made my headaches go away.

Since then I have acquired a skin burn rash that does not itch but takes months to go away. And leaves minor scars.

So far my printing is the only thing we have found that would cause an allergic reaction like this.

Early this year I made the switch to move remaining Chinese brand controllers to all Duet. At same time had some other things I had to fix. And since everything was apart I’m also doing some upgrades. That was 4-5 months ago and my rashes have gone. And I’m about to give it another try.

I have been converting a back room into a dedicated print farm. I use this rooms window to push air out to already cool my home. I have a 4’x9’ indoor grow tent that should keep it all in the tent.

Top center hangs my big carbon filer, that will be boxed in with 25x20x4” home HEPA filters recirculating the whole print farm chambers air. I have a hot/cool switch for a heater / and exhaust fan to out of house to cool. Another exhaust fan for quick flushing when needed.

I also have a 3M face respirator for when I go into that room. I was using 3M 60923 filters before COVID hit and I think those kept the rash away. I have made reusable filters designs so I could use the mask during COVID. I fine tuned my airtight mouth piece for the 3M 6300 mask (I have a beard no air tight with out my adapter).

So I’m hoping this will work. Does anyone have any feed back or ideas that worked for them, except not printing…

      thanks!
