    • RE: Invalid plugin manifest when trying to update plugin

@Phaedrux Everything worked fine after clearing the cache (Chrome browser)...Who could have Imagined? Now the input shaping appears as a "Integrated Plugin" instead of a "External Plugin". Upgraded to 3.5.1 without problems...

Thanks you very much. Learned something new today!

      @chrishamm Hi Chris

I am in standalone mode. How to do the reload? I tried by reinstalling RRF 3.5.0. but it didn't solve the issue

@jay_s_uk Yes. I read it too late. How can I get rid of the old one? I does not allow me to uninstall it

    • Invalid plugin manifest when trying to update plugin

I have just updated to RRF 3.5.0. Everything went right and after the update I tried to also update the plugins. "Endstops Monitor" and "Object Cancel" went just fine but Input Shaping get greyed out and deactivated

      Captura de pantalla 2024-04-19 a las 18.29.48.png

Now I have tried to reinstall plubing by uploading the corresponding zip file, but no matter if I try "InputShaping-3.4.7.zip" or "InputShaping-3.5.0-b1.zip" I got an error message like this:

      Captura de pantalla 2024-04-19 a las 18.34.07.png

What can I do? tried to reinstall whole RRF 3.5.0 but it didn't work

    • RE: Delta Calibration while Hotend Fan on

@dc42 Changing to another 2510 fan (Sunon brand) solved all problems. Who could have imagined? I shielded all cables in vain

@apak I am not using magnetic arms. Made a design in Fusion 360 based on one very similar that found on Thingiverse and then had it printed in ALUMINUM in China. Made the M3 threads manually.

But thank you very much for this info that I will keep should i ever go the "magnetic way"

    • RE: Delta Calibration while Hotend Fan on

@dc42 Yes. I was happily living with a SmartEffector v2 + E3Dv6 and zero fan problemas when I decide to change the whole toolhead to something more actual: SmartEffector v4 + Bambulab clone:

      Captura de pantalla 2024-04-01 a las 11.47.59.png

      Here the problems started.....

Curiously I was concerned about the heater cables being very close to the PCB, but it didn't seem to affect it at all

    • RE: Delta Calibration while Hotend Fan on

@dc42 I have just ordered different 2510 fans to see if I am lucky and they make a difference. Aternatives to GDSTIME for that size are not easy to find....

I have also thought of wrapping the fan case with a very thin nickel strip (the ones used for spot welding 18650 batteries...will try tonight and report

Configuration-wise....Is there something I could do by lowering the speed or changing PWM frequency? You tell me I will generate more magnetic field by running slower? Is this correct?

    • RE: Delta Calibration while Hotend Fan on

@Phaedrux Yes, but with other fan brands and sizes, it gave no interference at all. What can be the cause here? Is it related to the "Q250" PWM parameter?

For example, I have noticed the problematic fan is "12V 0.06A" while the "good one" is "12V 0.8A"

It surprisingly needs 15 times more current...

With all the wires shielded I expected not to have any problem, but I keep having them.
Should I wrap the fan body with copper foil?

I have made the following test: I unbolt the fan, leave it resting on the top of the extruder connected and spinning and G32 works ok. Could this be the magnetic field of the fan motor?

I am surprised of Smarteffector being that sensitive.....The 24V 50W hotend heater wires ran initially almost touching the bottom side of the smarteffector and they didn't seem to affect it at all while probing with the hotend heater on. How can the position of a fan so small be so critical?

    • Delta Calibration while Hotend Fan on

      I am using a Smarteffector V4 along with a Duet 3 Mini5+ with RRF firmware 3.4.6

When I do a G32 with a cold hotend everything goes well with a deviation of 0.012mm.

But If I do a G32 with a HOT (150 C) hotend I get a lot of false reading registering contact with the nozzle still on air. But If I unplug the hotend fan, everything seems to go fine.

I have shielded with copper foil all cables, but as soon as I plug the fan again, everything goes crazy. The fan is a GDSTIME GDA2510 12V 0.06A.

If I use a GDT2510 12V 0.8A fan it seems to behave. But unfortunately I broke the one that I had, so I need to keep trying. How can this be?

I am defining the fan as follows:

      M950 F1 C"out5" Q250
      M106 P1 S1 H1 T45

How can I solve this? I have several GDSTIME 2510 fans available, but none works

    • RE: Smart Effector 8-pin cable connector failure

@dc42 Yes. My idea is having a solid strain relief anchor point on top of the direct extruder. As I am routing 23 wires to the hotend (heaters, fans, extruder, smarteffector and accelerometer) I am using a 2x12p Microfit and from there routing the wires in bundles to the molex KK and JST. I expect those connectors downstream of the Microfit will not suffer any stress because all is taken by the Microfit. I agree that the Microfit is not an easy connector to deal with. I bought a cheap extractor from aliexpress that seems to do the work

      @ignacmc @jay_s_uk @Phaedrux @T3P3Tony @dc42

FINAL Update: I have updated firmware from 3.4.5 to 3.5.0 beta 3 and the error no longer happens, so it definitely seemed to be a bug in 3.4.5!

BTW, My Duet3 Mini5+ is a FYSETC clone.

@ignacmc Update. I changed the 6 wire cable foint to the effector for a new one and the same Error Persists. I cannot see any other cause than the Duet3Mini or the Smarteffector itself have some hardware problem...

@ignacmc @dc42 Hi David...you are my last hope 😉 Any clue about what is happening here? Can it be a hardware fault on the Smarteffector or the Duet3 Mini5+? How could I check this?

      Thanks in advance!

@T3P3Tony Yes I had played with P100 sensivity before, but just in case I have followed your suggestion and retried just now.

Still getting the same error after G30

I am starting to hate this machine....;-) It is kinda cursed!

@ignacmc by the way, other people in my spanish Telegram group are telling me to change the cable, but I am reluctant to do it unless it is the last choice.

If the probe is detecting the bed and going back despite the Error this should prove the wiring is ok, right?
