Ok, i have a Duex5 also, not used yet.
Is it possible to use the neopixel with this Duex5 board?

    • Fysetc neopixel board, problems with duet2wifi and paneldue

I have bought Fysetc neopixel board, there is a problem with it: It works only when i switch on the printer with neopixel disconnected, as soon the paneldue got a successful connection with the duet2wifi board i must attach the neopixel board too: then everything is working nice. But when i start the printer with paneldue and neopixel board already connected, the neopixel board works but the paneldue shows only the dashboard but the paneldue can’t connected with the duet2wifi.
If i only connected the paneldue and powered it on: paneldue works as it should be. Same when i only connect the neopixel board: neopixel board works nice.
Used the latest reprap firmware for the duet2wifi and the paneldue (both original Duet).
Tested many times now: when NEOPIXEL and PANELDUE v3.0 are both connected: only NEOPIXEL works as it should be, the PANELDUE show the interface but can't connect...

Any idea what’s wrong and how to fix this?

    • BTT Smart filament sensor

      Hi!
I have a BTT Smart filament sensor and I am trying to understand how it works.
Seems to be working but still have questions:

      1. when I do a sensor calibration, I get these results:

      7-8-2021 19:46:18 M591 D0 ; display filament sensor parameters for extruder drive 0
Pulse-type filament monitor on pin e0stop, disabled, sensitivity 0.500mm/pulse, allowed movement 90% to 110%, check every 3.0mm, measured sensitivity 9.165mm/pulse, measured minimum 0%, maximum 17% over 2089.7mm
      7-8-2021 19:40:52 M591 D0 ; display filament sensor parameters for extruder drive 0
Pulse-type filament monitor on pin e0stop, disabled, sensitivity 0.500mm/pulse, allowed movement 90% to 110%, check every 3.0mm, measured sensitivity 9.279mm/pulse, measured minimum 0%, maximum 17% over 1911.4mm
      7-8-2021 18:30:53 M98 P"0:/macros/Filament/Filament sensor tuning"
Pulse-type filament monitor on pin e0stop, disabled, sensitivity 0.500mm/pulse, allowed movement 90% to 110%, check every 3.0mm, measured sensitivity 12.023mm/pulse, measured minimum 0%, maximum 16% over 96.2mm
      7-8-2021 18:30:40 M98 P"0:/macros/Filament/Filament sensor tuning"
Pulse-type filament monitor on pin e0stop, disabled, sensitivity 0.500mm/pulse, allowed movement 90% to 110%, check every 3.0mm, measured sensitivity 13.307mm/pulse, measured minimum 0%, maximum 16% over 93.1mm

So, what is now the best setting for M591 ?
      Now, I have this:

      M591 D0 P7 C"e0stop" L0.5 R90:110 E3 S0

      1. something else, when I enable the sensor, and start a print and remove the filament after some printing time, the printer is not paused?
this was tested when I had this (not calibrated yet: ;M591 D0 P7 C"e0stop" L7 R50:200 E15 S1 ;configure BTT smart filament sensor

Any help would be nice πŸ˜‰

    • Duet2 WIFI: extra stepper needed...

      Hello,

I build a BLV printer and I have a Duet2 WIFI board, software uptodate.
I have a dual independed Z-motor system, works great!

BUT: I would like to add a 3th Z-Motor (it's a huge printer with a large bead) to improve it.

How can I do this? The Duet2 expansion board is out of stock (obsolete I think)..

    • RE: duetpanel works but touch interface not responding

      @nurgelrot
I have flashed the 7" screen now with PanelDueFirmware-3.3.0-rc2-5.0i-7.0i.bin via USB and Bossa.

      After resetting: no working touch.
Again poweroff, resetting: working touchscreen ?!

So, I have connected the PanelDue to my Duet2Wifi again (4 wires), screen comes alive but no working touch screen.
After a while, screen is getting dark: a reset and it's back.

      Really don't understand what's wrong...

      This is my screen:

      IMG_1358.jpg

      IMG_1359.jpg

      IMG_1360.jpg

Is it damaged ?? Weird, it worked perfect with the old firmware in the Duet2Wifi..

      Any help would be great!

    • duetpanel works but touch interface not responding

      Hi,
I have a DUET2WIFI and a DUETPANEL 7" : the DUETPANEL shows the interface but when I press the touchscreen nothing happens.

      Details: Duet Web Control 3.3.0
      Board: Duet 2 WiFi (2WiFi)
      Firmware: RepRapFirmware for Duet 2 WiFi/Ethernet 3.3 (2021-06-15)
      Duet WiFi Server Version: 1.26

      Bellow my my config.g.

Checked the wiring, everything looks ok.
Before the firmware update the touchscreen worked..

I hope somebody can tell me how to fix this...

      Would be great!

    • IR sensor troubles, hotend fan not running too

I am testing the IR-sensor, it works but I can't print..

      2 issues:

      1. after calibrating (using the method from https://miscsolutions.wordpress.com/mini-height-sensor-board/, I started a testprint. When it starts the bed is raised too high: the melted filament can't get out the hotend and after some time the tube-clamp is pushed out the top of the hotend.

      2. something else: when the hotend is heated up, the hotend FAN is not running: I can start it by moving the fan-slider in the duet browser panel, but that is not what we want ofcourse.

Below my configuration, I have used the webbased configtool but it looks it's not making the right configuration (ofcourse, I loaded the zip-file when it was ready with the configuration..)

Maybe the IR-sensor is not a good idea to use ? (I have the orginal dc24).

      I hope somebody can help.

      Many thanks in advance!

      Regards,

      πŸ˜‰ Arthur
