DWC 2.0.7 - layer times would benefit from diagonal x-axis legend just like temperatures. Would be more readable (at least on my standard browser settings). A quick win.
I run prints overnight and when return laptop will Webcontrol will inevitably have to reconnect (laptop sleep).
It would be GREAT (and give a much better impression of a fully integrated system) if at that point Webcontrol could retrieve the duration of the print that just finished. That's invariably something I'd like to know!
Would also be nice to have print end time (a real time) just as we are all hoping for "estimated finish time" to make it's way back in to webcontrol!
Recently swapped in NEMA23 and am delighted with the results. Discovered that NEMA17 have "small" connectors and needed to crimp some JST-XH ("proper sized connectors"!) to wire the NEMA23. This was done on the fly, balancing on one leg under an angle lamp and surprise surprise one of the crimps wasn't perfect.
A few days later mid-print walked passed the printer and it starts making horrible noises. Turns out there was a "short to GND Driver (0)" type error but apparently not enough to stop the print. The extruder had shifted sideways quite a bit and the noise was because the nozzle was scratching over an area just printed. Otherwise might not have noticed. A miracle didn't crash into the rails at the side which would have been nasty with big motor power. Clearly my walking by had triggered the bad crimp.
QUESTION: is it possible to set up the Duet to pause the print when various errors come in (other than just standard thermal runaway)?

I have a regular stream of "disconnected / attempting to reconnect" type notifications. The popups have no value and the console becomes unusable because too difficult to find the useful messages amongst this junk.
Is there a way to turn off notifications about connection status? (anyway it was always obvious if you're disconnected because everything greys out)
Agreed about a backup zip file download feature. For all the user modified config files.
The whole thing about backups is that they're a pain to do and they need to be as easy as possible if there's going to be a chance anyone will do them.
If I lost my config today… I'd cry. 
any chance of a subdirectory in sys for all the binary files? Now that there's firmware for multiple boards etc. it's getting cluttered in the space one scrolls for user-editable files.

As far as can tell, when DWC is switched to mode where the toolbar is hidden the word "Railcore" just to the left of the Gcode send box doesn't actually do anything when you click on it: runs a script void().
Based on my usage, my suggestion would be that, when you click on it, it takes you to the Dashboard page. EXCEPT when you're already on the Dashboard page in which case it takes you to the Console.
Any thoughts?
Having read up the on the Stallguard feature of the TMC2660 drivers, wonder if there's a way to make use of it.
In particular, how about a test routine which performs a series of increasingly rapid accelerations on the various axes?
The objective would be to monitor the output from the Stallguard, perhaps to determine what acceleration demands 80% of maximum torque of each motor (the masses, frictions, leverages etc associated with each axis are going to be different).
These figures might then inform the selection of acceleration parameters for the 3d printer in question.
Frequently come back to my computer, see a popup alert in the DWC window and wonder whether it is recent or not. Then have to navigate to the console to find out, then navigate back to the view that was on (eg Current Job Status).
Suggestion: add a timestamp to popup alerts.
@oliof I reckon logging directly run macros is so that you can look back and see that you did (or did not) run bed levelling before that 5 hour print. For example.
When we type Gcodes directly they land in the console, so why not macro filenames?

AFAIK currently speed factor, if set to 150%, remains at 150% until machine restarts. I've encountered this on CNC mills and routers for and it only seems to serve to catch me out. I don't check how the person before me left it. Nor do I remember that I may have changed it myself. Modding the speed is something myself I'd only do partway into a job on a situational basis and when the job's over well a new day begins. For my money it would only save unfortunate mistakes if the Speed Factor, set in DWC, reset to 100% when print ends.
What do you think?
I'd like some kind of "indent" on the speed control so that it's easy to drag it back to the 100% setting.
Alternatively or as well there could be a feature that if you double click on the button of the slider then it automatically reverts to 100%.
