FWIW, I've now done a test print with the filament runout sensor properly configured and connected, and my temporary thermistor installed. It all worked fine this time. I've still got to fine-tune the printer in various ways, but that's another matter....

Thanks @rodsmith I have flashed my screen with the firmware by ThRo42 & it's waaay better than the one I had, I just wish that there was a more recent version (26.2)

You are using a high quality cable connection that I can’t imagine that would be the problem when it’s new. The nimble’s drive cable will flex less than an arm will. I would think it would help. The only other suggestion would be to use silicone wiring but I don’t think that would help much over you’re pre assembled wire bundle.

Thanks, @Phaedrux. Oddly, the problem seems to have disappeared; I've posted a couple of threads and some replies in those threads this afternoon with no problems, although I was banging my head against the wall with this issue earlier today.
