Speaking of which, on 3.4RC2 in SBC mode the M584 error comes up consistently on changing the config.g file. An emergency stop sorts it out though. I have a G4 S5 on boot up to wait for the expansion boards.

There has been a fix to RRF since RC2 that addresses this.

@chrishamm I was going to say no, but I rebooted everything one more time to be sure - and yes RC2 seems to work in SBC mode! 😮 👍

Yes, the DWC doesn’t handle lower case letters.

SBC mode doesn’t work at all last I checked.

M208 had some weird behaviour. I’ll bump that thread.

@theolodian see the M917 command. It works on all Duet 3 boards. The default standstill current is 71% of the running current.

@theolodian please test using 3.4.0rc2.

SLC cards work great so far. Obviously it will probably be a long time before I can comment on how robust they might be, however it seems like cheap insurance if you want less worries about SD card failures.

I just used a Windows PC to copy the files from the visible (FAT32) partition of the old card to the already formatted new card.

@phaedrux Thanks. I’ve just downloaded files from GitHub and replaced ones on the spare SD card. Didn’t have everything on GitHub so fingers crossed. I’ll try it tomorrow.

Yes.

If you have no real rotary axes then you could use the M584 S parameter to have the extra linear axes treated as rotary axes for the purposes of feed rate calculation.

@t3p3tony So the ground reference across the 6HC and any extension boards should be the same as long as you are connecting them all to the same 24v supply. Thanks for confirming.
