What didn't work?
After running the auto tune, send M500, then in config.g at the bottom of the file add M501.

-
@Phaedrux i did that and this what i got
-
That looks right for the first part. Now you need to edit config.g and add the M501 at the end.
-
@Phaedrux ok got the m500 to work and it still heater falted you can see at the end on the chart it drop really hard and then wasnt droping as hard
-
Just to verify can you post your config-override.g?
Is the part cooling fan running at all during that drop?
Did you run the tune with the part cooling fan on at normal print speeds?
What kind of hotend and thermistor are you using?
Have you physically checked the wiring? -
@Phaedrux the cooling fan was running full blast on the auto tune and i have a sock on and the fan was off when printing

what do you mean by independent of the main board?
-
@Veti it is its own system you plug it in to the wall and set it manual
-
What is the heater fault error message shown in the console?
-
it was printing fine and then just drop temp

Is the thermistor cartridge and heater cartridge secured firmly? Have you removed them to check them?
-
@Phaedrux yes the thermistor is brand new and the heater is good and both are mounted good
i am useing this settup -
whats the resistance of the heater cartrige?
-
@Veti 91.5 printer says its at 26 c
-
@Government_Bacon said in heater fault when print starts:
91.5
then there is a problem with your heater cartridge
see normal resistances

@Veti sorry i checked the thermistor not the heater cartage. i ended up taking it a part and found out the heater cartage lead broke so i replaced it and it still dose the same thing. i checked the new one and its is at 5.4 and i checked the wires. testing now. tested it and it still drops i also did a auto tune for the new cartage
-
ok i have found my problem. i went through checking all of my wires and found one that i was getting it and miss reading from the hot end and it has a part of the wire severed in side if the wire covering. so i got it fixed and now it is working good.
