Have you used the erase jumper or button on the Duet to clear the firmware yet?

If you already have a working firmware on the board you don't need to erase it like that.

Please try following these procedures #1 and if that doesn't work, proceed to #2.

@bearer said in Duet3 setup requirements for 3D printer:

Slightly OT, but as the Pi image has a FAT /boot partition it could possibly contain the default standalone config and files so the same card could maybe cover both use cases.

    That's really clever.

Then i'll try to change the Z and Y then in the slicer.

No no, not in the slicer. You will define which motor/driver is assigned to which axis in the configuration file with M584.

Now would be a good time to start going through some of this documentation:

So today I have calculated my steppers for XY that I have right now:
Approximate peak back EMF due to rotation per motor: 7.8 V at 200.0 mm/s
Approximate peak back EMF due to inductance per motor: 1.9 V at 200.0 mm/s
Step pulse frequency: 18.8 kHz at 200.0 mm/s
Speed at which torque starts to drop (low slip angle): 174.2 mm/s @ 23.2 kHz
Speed at which torque starts to drop (high slip angle): 236.8 mm/s @ 31.5 kHz

This means that I don’t need to change them? And how to take into account weight of the carriage?

    P.S.:
One more crazy idea was to split carriage for 2 independent extruders. But that will give me more weight on Y axis..
