@dougal1957 I am currently using 3 Tools, 1 Bed heater and 3 separate chamber heaters (silicone mat). So, there are 7 and the one I want to add is for chamber monitoring.
How accurate are two silicone heater mats if I connect them together in series? Are there any problems with bigger temp overshoots or is this a usable solution?

@jay_s_uk Changing the Hotends would be not very cheap because I’m using the slice copperhead with the HT sensor and it would be a really big pain in the butt to change them too. Same with the Keenovo bed heater. The Sammy-C21 is a bit to difficult for me to deal with. My last option was the extension board with a different sensor but I don’t really like them but it seems like my only option.

Cheap way to add 1 Thermistor
Hi I want to add 1 extra Thermistor to my Duet 6HC as cheap as possible. Is there something like the PT100 Daughter Board for Thermistors? All my Temperature inputs on the 6HC and on the 3HC Expansion Board are already in use. I thought i saw someone with a Daughter Board for Thermistors a few days ago but I can’t find the site anymore.

@diy-o-sphere all the cheap ones are loud but the bigger problem is that there is no space for one. under the chamber is a filament drawer so its not possible to mount something down there. i cant put something in the top part because of the motion system. so the only place left is at the back between the side panel and the cabel cover (95mm)

@phaedrux the rotor itself is currently 16,54 Grams and the inertia is at 86,87 gcm². the shaft will be as small as possible and so not really heavy. cannibalize of some random fan would be possible but I don’t have one on hand and i would rather by a separate motor (less getto style)

@phaedrux the fan itself sits in the chamber and is connected to the motor by a shaft through the chamber. same principle as an oven fan

@phaedrux The Mechanical design is not my problem. But the selection of the electronic component is. I Don’t have a problem putting an oven fan in the chamber but controlling it would kill my knowledge because I don’t even have a clew how to control such a motor or if it’s even possible to do so. My favourite solution would be a simple fan motor outside the chamber but I don’t know witch motor I should use and how I should control it. I just want the fan to be quiet (1k rpm) and easy to use so I can control it via the slicer. Is it necessary to design a radial fan from the ground up with a part cooling in mind? No decently not but I like to learn as much as possible while building this printer and that’s why there is so much “overcomplicated” stuff like the hydraulic tool changer inside. I just need someone to guide me a bit in the right direction.
@rjenkinsgb Yes everything inside this Printer was selected with the Temperature of 120°C in mind (HT- cables, Stepper and Hotend are watercooled etc.). The position of the inlet isn't ideal but it should works good enough and if I put the whole thing upside down I wouldn't have a chance to use the fan in the future as a "part cooler" as well -

@mrehorstdmd that was my current plan but i couldn't find a suitable motor. like i sad i dont know too much about electronics so i have no idea which motor is suitable for this application because i would like to control it with the slicer fan configuration

@rjenkinsgb I totally agree with you but sadly there is no space left on top of the chamber for a fan and I plan to use the camber fan with swappable outlets so I can use the fan for part cooling as well. The link you posted is looks promising, thanks for that.

@tlas I found a few fans with a max operating temperature of 90°C but that’s still too low for me. Problem with the kitchen stuff fans is the size, price or noise if you even are able to get them. My current solution is a radial fan out of a temperature resisted filament.
Currently calculating the optimal geometry and simulating the flow inside the fan and the chamber but I have no idea what motor I should use. My electrical knowledge is not the biggest so I have no idea what the best solution would be for this application. -
Heated chamber air circulation fan
Hi I am looking for a simple way to circulate the air in my heating chamber. The maximum chamber temperature is 120 ° C, which greatly limits the choice of finished solutions. I prefer to control the fan with a slice and it should be as quiet as possible so I don’t want to use an oven fan. At the moment I’m working on a radial fan but I’m not sure what kind of motor to look for. does someone happen to know a temperature-resistant fan that I could use or which motor (not inside the chamber) I should use for a self-construction?

Hi I am using 3 slice engineering HT-thermistor (450°C) on my printer and I get temperature readings 10°C above room temperature. I checked and measured the resistance (with the extension I am using) and found no problem. The thermistor is configured like this:

I am using the Duet 3 MB6HC with the 3.3 (2021-06-15) Firmware.
(Room Temperature was around 19-20°C. )I searched for a solution or an explanation for this, but I didn’t find an answer and hope somebody could explain it to me what I am missing.

@cosmowave ok it really seems like the good old "turn it of and on again" fix it for some reason... i left the printer off for a few hours and now it works for what ever reason. i feel so dumb right now and you cant imagen how dumb. the whole day and than a simple turn off solves it. is there a "backup" file or something that might caused the problem?

i tried to use just a simple move after a home and i still get the offset and i can't figure out why. i could be blind but i am pretty shure that i did not configured something that trigges this offset. the only thing i know is that it looks like the offset is set at the first move after the G28

ok as far as i can see it isn't the slicer gcode. tried it with G90 but that did nothing. i cant see anything in the config, home or somewhere else where this "offset is coming from. If I use a macro with a G1 to go to Z0 it's not a problem, but as soon as I start a print ...
