Hi,
Here's my config.g file, together with a pic of the bag the thermister came in.

Duet WiFi board open circuit on hotend
Hi,
My Duet Wifi board seems to work brilliantly. Stepper motors move as expected, homing works, end stops work. Everything moves almost silently. Couldn't be happier.HOWEVER, no matter what I do I get an "open circuit" error whenever I connect the hotend wiring. I've bought and tried three different hotend/thermister sets. Still the same error. In frustration I bought another board (a Maestro) and wired that one up - and the hotend works wonderfully. Really impressed. Without touching the wiring on the printer itself, I wired up the WiFi board (power and hotend) and the same issue - "open circuit".
Any suggestions?

Maestro has lost ethernet and usb connection
Hi,
My Maestro board was working PERFECTLY, just as advertised. I went for lunch, and when I returned, it seems to have lost all connectivity - ethernet AND USB. I can't ping the IP address, and (of course) the browser can't open the web interface. I've checked the router DHCP table, and the correct MAC and IP addresses are there. As for USB - well, YAT tells me that no com ports are available.Any idea what might have gone wrong?

RE: Maestro - ping yes, web interface no
First of all, thank you for responding. Doing this sort of thing from half way round the globe can be frustrating.
OK, I think I may not have the correct files on my SD card. It doesn't look right, somehow. Could someone spell out for me the steps from the point where I have downloaded the bog-standard Ender3Pro settings from the configuration site?

RE: Maestro - ping yes, web interface no
Oh, I forgot to mention that I have an Ender 3 Pro. I grabbed the files for the Ender from the configuration site, and unzipped them to the SD card. Then inserted the card and switched the printer on.

RE: Upgrade Duet wifi to ethernet?
I have worked my way through the doc you pointed me to - with no change. I don't seem to be violating anything, or outside any parameters.
I have actually decided to give up on the WiFi, and have placed an order for the Maestro - that's how much I like the web interface. I will tackle the WiFi board on another day when I have recovered some of my original enthusiasm for WiFi. At the moment, I just want to get printing. My Ender 3 has been idle for 3 months now.
I am hoping that the Maestro will neatly side-step these issues, and allow me to make contact with the web interface and get printing again.
Thanks for your help,
Regards,

Upgrade Duet wifi to ethernet?
Hi,
I have had almost no joy with my Duet WiFi board. First board: WiFi was simply dead Second board: Wifi worked for exactly 2 days, then died. THIRD board - wifi is working perfectly, BUT drops out every 6 seconds (I've timed it). That's if I can manage to get the Web screen at all (most of the time, no luck). I can ping the IP address. I've tried two routers. Every now and then, I can get into the web interface, and everything seems to work nicely. And then, just when I think everything is great, the connection is lost, and I'm in no-man's land again.I bought this board because I heard it was the duck's nuts. Well, if you are one of the lucky ones, yes. But three boards in a row? What's the story with the WiFi module anyway? Typing "WiFi connection issues" into the forum search turns up 52 pages!
Quite frankly, I've had it with this WiFi board. How can I "convert" the board into an ethernet board? Is there a daughter board I can plug in? I certainly don't want to start soldering the board itself. Because at this rate, I might as well return to the little board which comes standard with my Ender 3 - at least that worked first time, every time.

RE: SD Card failure
So I'm off to buy a new SD card, and start the process clean.

@dc42 said in SD Card failure:
M997 S1
Hi. I downloaded a fresh copy from GitHub, saved it into the /sys folder of the SD card after renaming the old one DuetWiFiserver-old.bin. Popped the SD card into the board, connected the USB cable, fired up YAT, made connection and then sent M997 S1 Here are the resultsM997 S1
M997: File DuetWiFiServer.bin not found

RE: SD Card failure
I remembered that I still had the SD card that came with the Ender3, so I put that in - it came up with a bunch of errors (as one might expect), so the SD card reader seems to be working. M122 still says"
- WiFi -
Network state is starting
WiFi module is disabled
Which seems to point to the wifi module being faulty (again). Sigh...

RE: SD Card failure
@phaedrux The wifi was working perfectly until the SD card died. Perhaps there is some magic on the original SD card which is missing on my replacement card. I unzipped the contents of the correct zip file directly onto the SD card, and verified that all the correct files were there.
But it's as though the card reader doesn't even see the SD card.
And the M122 command results in:
SD card 0 detected, interface speed: 20.0MBytes/secI have no idea if this means that "no SD card detected" or "SD card #0 detected" But no LED light up on the wifi module whren I power up.

RE: SD Card failure
I have already had this board replaced because the WiFi module was dead. Now the SD card reader seems to have packed up, and the WiFi board is dead again. I think it is time to put this board in the bin, laugh of the money I paid for it and go bacvk to the original board the Ender3 came with. I'm spending hours and hours just trying to get the board to work. I want to be printing...
