@Argo ok. Nice test from him. I find for my Hevort 0.02 smooth time and 0.044 PA. Worked nice. I hope my Info can help Duet.

RE: Issues with pressure advance since RRF 3.4
@Argo said in Issues with pressure advance since RRF 3.4:
So altering the smooth time value did improve your corners and PA alone did not?
PA alone didn't make the whole corner look nice. See the picture with the corner sticking out in the direction of travel. Only with the change of smooth time and renewed PA, which was then higher, did the corners become so clean.

RE: Issues with pressure advance since RRF 3.4
I couldn't find any differences between 3.3 and 3.4.x, but I still have a picture of a test where the corners became nice with PA. As now with klipper. The Artikel from sebkritel is that who I read.

RE: Issues with pressure advance since RRF 3.4
@R4ffers oh yes.
@dc42 is there also something like pressure advance smooth time under RRF? A few clippers have the problem with the high smooth time, but those who have problems are mostly DirectDrive extruder users. Maybe that's an approach you can follow.

RE: Issues with pressure advance since RRF 3.4
Update on my conversion to Klipper.
At first the corners didn't look any better than with RRF until I came across a post today that refers to extruder smooth time.
The standard is with Klipper 0.04, which I also use.
Switched to 0.01 and the corners look awesome.
In the article it was said that some extruders can not cope with the smooth time and then you have to get smaller. see my pictures.With smooth time 0.04
With smooth time 0.01

RE: Duet3 6HC Sense resitor
@dc42 Many Thanks. Unfortunately, I'm not an electrician and can't read anything out of the schematic. If it were a blueprint of machines I could do that

Duet3 6HC Sense resitor
Hi
Which Sens resistor value is set in the RepRap firmware for the TMC5160? -
RE: Issues with pressure advance since RRF 3.4
I will only use it as an emergency backup. Sure if RRF fits again I'll switch back, I think. I'm already a fan of Duet.
But to test whether my hardware fits, I'll try Klippers. The last parts will arrive in the days for the test with me. -
RE: Issues with pressure advance since RRF 3.4
Yes, definitely.
If I increase or decrease the extruder pressure, I can influence whether there is more or less overshoot. But I can't get rid of it completely. -
RE: Issues with pressure advance since RRF 3.4
@gloomyandy no, on Duet 3 6hc.
I think that not only z but all axles brake harder. But I'll record it and open another topic and ask if Duet wanted it that way.
-
RE: Issues with pressure advance since RRF 3.4
@gloomyandy if you don't have 3.3 try a higher Z jerk and acc. flash 3.4 and the axis runs much more aggressively. could this also be the case for x and y?
-
RE: Issues with pressure advance since RRF 3.4
I could only find out with firmware 3.3.0 that, for example, my Z-axis ran softer with the same jerk and ACC and not as hard as with 3.4.x Maybe you should look in the direction of the braking behavior? If I get it in time I will flash my Z axis again to 3.3.0 and then film it again with 3.4.x.

RE: Issues with pressure advance since RRF 3.4
@Argo
I have a Duet 3 6hc running on Klipper. But I can't test it because otherwise I would have to lay 13 cables to the print head and unfortunately I don't have the time to do so. -
RE: Issues with pressure advance since RRF 3.4
I can reduce the corners by going very high with the retract and detract. Before I consciously noticed this for the first time, I had PETG 0.2mm with 20mm/s retract. Now if I go to 60 or even 80mm/s the corners get smaller.
Also, the corners get smaller when I slice at <60mm/s.
I've already tried a lot, like reducing values ββwith ACC and Jerk, but all without success.
If I didn't have to run so many cables to my Toolhead, I would swap my Board to rule out that it's the Hardware. Because I have a Board as a replacement on which the Klipper is flashed as a test. -

That's right, the Z seam is on the bottom left.Is Edit with Config.g data

RE: Issues with pressure advance since RRF 3.4
The problem is that the Pa is already increased in the pictures. I used to always use a Pa of 0.035.
In the pictures you can see with 0.045 Pa that the walls open in front of the corner but the corner is still sticking out. No longer at a 45Β° angle but in the direction of travel.
If I remember correctly without PA they stand out at a 45Β° angle. -

RE: Issues with pressure advance since RRF 3.4
@Phaedrux ok have 3.3.0 on MB and Toolboard. Now I test with is on is off extruder on MB and the same with Toolboard
-
RE: Issues with pressure advance since RRF 3.4
@Phaedrux sudo apt-get install duetsoftwareframework=3.3.0 doun't work
-
RE: Issues with pressure advance since RRF 3.4
Sorry I doun't understand what I must do.
The git can I clone but what now?I think I must install ore copy files on the pi but what and who.
