Put the commands on separate lines. A T command may not be followed by other commands on the same line.

How did you measure the stepper driver temperature?

55C is not especially hot for stepper driver chips. They produce an over-temperature warning at about 100C and shut down at about 130C.

It's an older Duet (rev. 1.2) without the fuse. Use a multimeter to check that there is continuity between the +VIN terminal and the VIN side of the fan voltage selection jumper. A short on a fan output typically fuses a via in the PCB trace connecting those two points. If it has fused, it can be bridged using a wire on the back of the board.
