CoreXY has no "knowledge" of X and Y being equal.

My example: I have 2 Core XYs. The small one had a bed 150 x 200.

Recently I heavily tweaked everything on the X axis and now have a print capability of 170 x 210, with enhanced rigidity (ie less deflection than the 150mm) along the X-axis. Ideal for off-the-shelf magnetic print beds of 180 x 180.

@Phaedrux M115 says that the firmware is 3.2.2, and the hardware is a Duet 2 Wifi and PanelDue 7i.

I have a new application for tapering extrusions that might make this feature request more popular. Moves that taper z height with fixed extrusion width will facilitate the production of invisible seams.

I have proposed a new feature for PrusaSlicer whereby it would make seams that I call scarf seams where the seam is spread out over complementary tapers. The feature request is here.
The scarf seam could be made entirely b y the slicer, but it is my opinion that the firmware should be responsible for the tapers. That would allow me (and others, presumably) to easily use tapered extrusions for other purposes.

My proposal is for an extra parameter in moves to allow the extrusion to start at one value and end at another.

There is no config.bak file on the SD, and I do not recall if there ever was. There is one on each of my older Duet 2 wifi boards.

It is not possible that I uploaded a default config file, as the events were a shut-down during a print pause (due to a nozzle clog) on one day (I switched the power off, and then when I switched the power on the next day the Panel Due welcomed me to my 'new Duet'.

Alternately set M564 S0 to disable axis limits. Be aware though that this affects all axes. I'd go with your approach of setting very high limits for an "endless" axis.

@mjlew the speed and acceleration limits set in config.g are enforced regardless of where the movement command comes from.

You can use M18 to turn the extruder(s) off at the end of a print job.

Either that, or increase the radius by a tiny amount.

BTW there is a standard CNC way of doing an entire circle using one G2/G3 command, which recent versions of RRF support.
