    • RE: Another Stratasys uPrint retrofit

      768 sst liquifier available should anyone need it Model and support
      msquared does them too but$$$$$
      if you want to print many diffrent filament dont use this

      why

      1 they can't be cleaned (carbon from different materials inside induces carbon buildup more)
      2. they are standard not metric
      3. they wear out and are not a consumable
      4.the oem extruders may not work with duet that i know and the extruder gears are likely to have excessive lash between the gears any how unless you know a julery guy that can replace them ...or a machinist willing to but is not advised without previous experiences doing so they are small and would need super precise way to produce the gears
      5. the bend (90 deg) at the top of the liquifier tube is a flaw in my opinion as it is in the melt zone not before and naturally back purges a small blob around the liquifiers entrance causing even more resistance (not one of ssys better liquifiers for sure 768)

      the best SSYS liquifiers are in my opinion in the titans, fortus MC and few others

      straight no 90 deg bends 100watt 90-120dvc aside powered oem
      the old 200watt ones on the sst and bst are way over kill for that tiny aluminum block with stainless like thin tubes but then again maybe not 120vdc i cannot remember..
      (disregard if the 1200 are diff.. oh they are different chit my bad i remember now you have spring actuator from model to support side where the bst and sst have the same set height)

      my question is does it feed from the top or the back hose like mine (never got to work on a 1200 only mc up)

      loving all the SSYS conversions I am not alone thanks for sharing everyone

      it also looks like you dont have any/much cooling on it or elephants foot compensation but try another slicer if you have active cooling working
      what is the material?

      what slicer did you use... try another i had issues with cura and flow infills and over all flow rates which made the z seam or start stop bad like this
      super slicer reprint for me was all it was
      as for cura infill flow i used was 89% and the total flow rate to 98% fixed this on ASA prints and others

      usually if the Z seems are bulging flow or retractions are out but speeds do play apart here too!

      @oozebot 👍 👍

      lucky i can run the chamber with the doors open as the chamber was designed to run FLA full load amps continuiously if needed its only alarms that are an issue as long as the chamber fans are on i am good to draw endlessly if needed but wont be needed if you get me

    • RE: chamber heater alarms out expecting 1.8C/sec

      @oozebot of course it would be to easy to set and forget a simple heater why not use a time out call for heat only 2 min it should see a increase in temp 5 min should continue to see increases and 15 min the target must have been reached once to stay on
      add a temprature deviaton of 15% for opening the door

      its rocket science apparently but i thank you for your time today and efforts and shares in relation

      as for the probe on your head i cannot do this as i have a peltier cooling plate on the heat break to disable heat creeps but was not on during this testing

      @oozebot
      this is likley what i need as the chamber has thermal snaps eveywhere OEM so is partially safe from over temps the thing is it would be nice to catch a latched SSR on over time out this is all i wanted the duet to do

      heater timed out......5,10,15 min to easy i guess... i will try to learn about this DAEMON.G thanks again!

      super cheers for the help here🥃

    • RE: Heating Chamber for a 3d printer!

      ok much playing with but i got it Q ended up to be Q1.25 and the switching is just like the oem original now and only +/-.5c spread the R was set to R0.030 which auto tune suggested R0.027 was close but the D was suggested to D159 by auto tune and D28 worked best for me

      thank you to all whom guided me here the D,R and Q was the issues i was having and is a ok now!

      @engikeneer thank you i have stopped the tuning and have set the pwm to Q5 in the M950 and restarted the tune once back to ambient temperature again

    • RE: Heating Chamber for a 3d printer!

      @zapta i tried S0.10 in M307 but seen that M950 is now where Q is used to set HZ so i am trying M950 Q50 M307 S1.00

      S0.01 did light the ssr up but is not on,not heat at this but only faint dim leds on the out and ssr so i will try Q50 in the M950 and see tuning....

      @zapta this is absolutely great thank you
      what would my M307 look like with a chamber thats slow but keeps temps and is insulated well, what you would try first ?
      is this only put in config.g correct?

      is it 0.1 i am going to try it at 10 hz is 20 times a second still not to much?? i will try it!

      Cheers🍺

    • RE: Heating Chamber for a 3d printer!

      @hackinistrator its switching an SSR the HZ dont matter no...? as long as it within the spec of the SSR 3-32vdc 15mA control side
      the switching side is mains power 6A 120 VAC (on or off) no ramping capability except pwm from the control side no?
      if it means the frequency of switching i am in...but it says HZ hertz frequency usually 60 hz as is 120vac it is at 60 hz mains power which would not be adjustable without a VFD and/or winding's before it's heater

      or maybe i am not understanding how this could benefit me other ways maybe algorithms at low HZ switch differently??
