ok much playing with but i got it Q ended up to be Q1.25 and the switching is just like the oem original now and only +/-.5c spread the R was set to R0.030 which auto tune suggested R0.027 was close but the D was suggested to D159 by auto tune and D28 worked best for me

thank you to all whom guided me here the D,R and Q was the issues i was having and is a ok now!

the other option that would really bite but is possible put the chamber heats on a sepeperate outboard controller and call it a day and delete all chamber crap from the configs i feel this is a key part to duet and am shocked this is still a loose end for such a key component i wish i would have know before hand and just built it this way instead perhaps......

but i was pretty sure this would have not been an issue i was wrong! rolling in my hand a T-100 1/2 din TCcontroller wishing i would have not bought the j type daughter board to keep the oem thermocouple then was the clear choice

there is allways more than one way to skin a cat! where to start is again the question...kick this one down the road abit longer or just replace it!

@rexx said in optical ABL for 6HC OPB 880T51:

question: does a 222 resistor and 101 come in an inline form how do you find the impedances to replicate or do you know what the values are for them OR do you think mounting this board remote is a better route

Yes, 222 is a 2.2Kohm resistor and 101 is a 100 ohm resistor - except that it looks to me that the marking is actually 181 which makes it a 180 ohm resistor.

The 180 ohm resistor sets the current of the IR LED in the opto switch. The 2K2 resistor is a pullup resistor on the output. Its value is less critical, so your 10K resistor should work OK instead.

@rexx you need a resistor from the IR LED anode to +3.3V or +5V, and connect the IR LED cathode to ground.

As they are heating the same thing and the heaters draw only 2A each, it would be best to connect both heaters in parallel to a single heater output.

Another reference. I rewired my ender 5 pro for duet2:

Here is my wiring diagram using Cat6 cables and the original Z axis wiring.

I did add a BLtouch as well. My config is at the bottom:
