@rilot I have orbiters 1.5 and 2.0 which have the same ldo36sth201004ahg(xh) steppers; they have the same recommended steps/mm, so the gearbox is the same too. I used the 1.5 with a bowden for a while, then added a 2.0 as a direct drive - using them in tandem off e0 and e1 drivers at 850mA, 24V. I am using 300 jerk (with P1) , 7200 max speed, and 10000 acceleration. They run very smoothly and quietly at up to 250mm/sec with 0.4 nozzle.

@dc42 Yes, it's essentially a switch wired to an endstop.
Will look at G30 but I'm guessing that I need to run the G30 on my first tool before probing the XYZ=0 of the stock.
Thanks. Will have a play later.

@rilot said in Which component on Duet 2 Wifi would cause serial ports to fail?:

Thanks. I thought it might be.
I'll have a go at replacing it. I've replaced the board so might as well have a go and see if I can resurrect this one.

Be very careful not to lift any of the traces that the MCU pins are soldered to. Use a suction device to lift the MCU off the board.

Well, I just did the same. Ditched the Bowden and went to direct drive. 0.11 PA and much better prints. I should have done this ages ago rather than fighting with the bowden.

      Thanks.

Thanks. I've submitted a warranty request.
I'm up and running on D4 for the minute but I had to disable my independent Z stepper setup to do this.
