      @ripeds_o3p

      Hi,

      I have a UM2+ that I upgraded with both the Bondtech DDG and a Duet 2 Ethernet. Original stepper on the extruder. I can't copy/paste the relevant part of the config file directly (no vpn from pc to duet when I'm not at home) but I logged in through my phone and typed the relevant extruder config values below.

      M92 E311
      M566 E250
      M203 E2700
      M201 E350
      M906 E900

      I did not tweak any of this as I have been printing perfectly fine with the settings above. No filament slipping and just a very faint clicking during operation (which was also there before upgrading) which I think is normal. Only loud clicking I experience is when loading filament and the tip does not insert into the heatbreak properly, or if I'm extruding fast (manual extrusion, not during printing) with a low temperature.

      @phaedrux That fixed it! Thanks! ^.^

      ; Tools M563 P0 S"Nozzle-0" D0 H1 F0 ; define tool 0 G10 P0 X0 Y0 Z0 ; set tool 0 axis offsets G10 P0 R0 S0 ; set initial tool 0 active and standby temperatures to 0C T0 ; ensures a tool is selected upon start up (allowing extrusion/retraction)

      Added a note in the config to remind myself what it does.

      Fixed!

      Turns out the wrong wires were plugged into the terminal (wasn't for a PT100 but a different component). sigh

      I lost a few labels to my wires when pushing them through the designated holes in the printer (for cable management). Out to the Duet board. Add in the fact that it has been a few weeks since I last tinkered with the printer and that's the recipe for this mistake.

      @stephen6309 I appreciate the response. I actually made a breakthrough forty minutes ago. A clean homing sequence with no motor grinding. X & Y went first, then Z.

      Aloooot of research went into getting that result. I hope any future hurdles are easier to tackle.

      I still have more things to test with the printer. But things are looking up now.

      Ok, for your motors you should start by identifying the phases and then pairing them accordingly. Check the direction of rotation and make sure they match before attaching them mechanically.
