SD card destroyed again.
Re: SD card wiped
The onboard micro sd on my duet wifi has just been destroyed for the second time. I was updating the config.g file and the sd card was wiped and is now not detected by my computer when plugged in. This first happened with the supplied card and now the replacement. Surely this must be a fault with the board.

RE: SD card wiped
Yes it was purchased directly from you and I was using the supplied SD card.

SD card wiped
My duet v1.03 probably has less than a day of printing on it but yesterday the micro SD card was totally destroyed whilst printing such that the card cannot be detected. I'm wondering if there is a known cause for this and if so any precautions I can take to avoid it happening again?
I resolved the issue by installing the SD files downloaded from here; https://github.com/T3P3/Duet/tree/master/Duet2/SD Card Contents onto a new micro SD card and then adding the configuration files into the sys/ folder for anyone else facing this issue.

RE: [Solved] Connecting to wifi
I've got it working thank you so much for your help. M558 S"*" got rid of the final one. I had deleted the others one at a time because of what @bricor said. After that M587 P"SSID" S"P'a's'sWORD" (with a single apostrophe in front of lower case letters on Pronterface and then M552 S1. Thanks again this has been puzzling me for a week.

RE: [Solved] Connecting to wifi
I'm using pronterface at the moment which does force to uppercase. I'm using a mac. Is there something better I can try?

RE: [Solved] Connecting to wifi
I think it's struggling with lowercase. I've followed the advice using apostrophes but without success. the SSID I cannot remove also contains a lower case letter. I'm unable to create a password without lowercase letters.

RE: [Solved] Connecting to wifi
Hey all thanks for your responses. I managed to delete all but one of the networks. I'm currently running 1.21RC2. I re-added the correct network so have two but still can't connect.

[Solved] Connecting to wifi
I'm really struggling to connect to wifi. I've followed all of the getting started instructions but I'm still getting the message "Failed while trying to connect" the wifi module flashes blue when I issue an M552 S1 command but I still can't connect my router has 2.5 and 5GHz channels. I've run out of ideas. I'd really appreciate any help.

RE: X and Y aligned
No I was just jogging the head around whilst levelling the bed and suddenly x became -y.
-
X and Y aligned
My corexy was moving as it should and then all x commands became movements in y just in the opposite direction. For example a command of X100Y100 results in no movement as they have become opposites. As such I no longer have any x movement. I have reset the board and uploaded newly configured firmware and yet the problem persists. Any ideas?

RE: Smart effector
Ah do I get the current delta version now or wait!? Roughly how long do you expect it will be? Are we talking a year? If you need a beta tester…

Smart effector
Are there any plans to make a smaller smart effector type probe for cartesian and corexy style printers?

RE: New PanelDue firmware 1.21RC4 available
Can this be updated over web control or does it have to be done over usb?

RE: Smart effector Corexy
Lykle @Zesty designed the carriage for my and it uses IGUS Bushes mint will have a Nimble Sidewinder on it.
I'm using IGUS bushings too on rolled carbon rails but with a standard nimble, as I was unsure if the long drive cable used with a sidewinder would sag into the build volume. Therefore I will likely mount the extruder motor at the top of the frame. What stage is your build at?

RE: Smart effector Corexy
Yeah that's the sort of thing I was thinking. I am also using 12mm rails I designed a carriage for the titan aero (not sure how to add a photo) which has an x and z offset between the rails but side by side rails seem ideal for the smart effector and a zesty nimble as I now intend to use.

RE: Smart effector Corexy
Whatever you decide to do, don't be tempted to use toughened glass. I know from experience that the toughening process causes distortion. Float glass is perfectly fine.
I don't like the sound of that. I discussed my requirements with my local glass supplier who insisted that I should have toughened for safety and that it if it wasn't flat enough I could return it, as toughening can induce rippling. As I said to them it needed to be flat to the thickness of a sheet of paper so finger crossed it is.

RE: Smart effector Corexy
I've had a look at the Precision Piezo and it appears, to me at least, functionally identical to the Smart Effector.
