Hello, I have recently installed a Duet 3 Mini into my Ender 5 Plus. I am currently having an issue with homing z and both z motors being synced? It is almost like the steps per mm are off on my z axis motors and it is causing a binding issue when moving the bed up. I also cannot get the bed to lift after the hot end moves to the center to probe. The Bltouch self tests fine, probe deploys and all. Just this issue with the bed.

Duet 2 Wifi Dual z
Good Evening all,
I have and Ender 5 that I recently converted to dual z axis with a Duet Wifi 2 running it. I had a great config file running before but I do not understand the guide. I have the second motor hooked up to ZB motor connection. I am using a bl touch for an endstop. My latest attend resulted in the Z motors spinning in opposite direction regardless of changing in the config file. Here is my config, bed, homeall, and homez files. Thank you in advance

RE: Ender 5 with BLtouch
@Phaedrux sorry, I am changing the z-probe offset in the g31 to match my hero me 5 fan setup. In the large bundle they do just like factory.
I seemed to fix the endstop with a switch of the cable. Now when I home Z the printer moves to the offset coordinates instead of zero.

Ender 5 with BLtouch
retractprobe.g homez.g homey.g homex.g homeall.g deployprobe.g config.g bed.g Ok so I have been printing fine for about 6 months and then all of a sudden after a long print(22 hrs) my x endstop is always triggered. I have replaced the switch with a know good part and tested with m119 and reports that the endstop is at min. I had made no changes to config file or anything else. Any ideas?
Also in trying to fix this, I used the original z stop and forced myself to get the bltouch configured as the zstop and it worked twice and is now reporting a similar reaction as the xstop, Probe triggered already. But the pin never dropped to be triggered. When I manual drop and raise the pin it works just fine. Has me completely stumped.
and one final issue I have been unsuccessful at solving is when I put the offset for my probe those are the coordinates the carriage moves to instead of starting at 0.

RE: Ender 5 Duet Wifi 2 and BLTouch 3.1
@Phaedrux So turned on the printer first thing this morning to try and calibrate the bltouch and went right back to the same issues. I am begining to suspect bad wire in the cable so I have ordered another. Not sure what else it could be. It was working just fine last night. Tested it unmounted, turned it off and mounted it, and then turned it back on this morning.

RE: Ender 5 Duet Wifi 2 and BLTouch 3.1
@Phaedrux Thanks for the help! SO far so good. I will try leveling the bed tomorrow.
-
RE: Ender 5 Duet Wifi 2 and BLTouch 3.1
@Phaedrux it is just the factory ender 5 bed heater. Is that normal?
-
RE: Ender 5 Duet Wifi 2 and BLTouch 3.1
@Phaedrux The probe cycles twice and then starts blinking red.

Fixed the fan error. Not sure what to do with the heater error or that the z probe is reading 1000 like it is being triggered.

@DIY-O-Sphere ok I have now successfully updated to 3.1.1. I am still not getting the bltouch to work. It still will not self test on power up. It drops the pin and then starts blinking red light. I have checked the wires and all connections are good. This is a legit BLTouch with their wiring.

@Phaedrux yes I have it wired like in the photo. I made the suggested changes but bltouch still does not power cycle instead is flashing red at a slow steady rate. When I tried to rest the bltouch i get Error: M280: Invalid servo index 0 in M280 command.

Ender 5 Duet Wifi 2 and BLTouch 3.1
Ok so I am new to to the BLTouch and the Ender 5. I have currently updated it to a Duet wifi 2 and a meanwell PSU. I got the printer to work last night fine with manual leveling and end stop switches. I have been using the RRF Config tool to get the BLTouch to work with little success.
Currently the probe will extend but not retrack after powering up. It will not trigger as an endstop ( I unplugged the original) for homing.

Smart Effector remaining triggered
Hello,
I have Rostock Vmax 2 with a smart effector. I have been printing fine for months and then suddenly after my last print the effector is remaining triggered. I have checked the wiring on both sides and reset the machine to no avail. Looking for some answers.
