@remopini Yes I know that DWC is showing the default names. The information that's missing is what names you have assigned and how you have made those assignments. The board, firmware and DWC versions that you are using would also help. For info, heater names are displaying correctly for me using RRF 3 and DWC 2 so I suspect that it might be a configuration issue rather than a bug.

@deckingman Hey Ian, I think the issue is that on the screenshot in the first post it shows "Heater 1" twice in the Tool box. Instead of "Heater 1" and "Heater 2". It is correct above the temperature chart.

But you are right that essential information on versions and related config is missing.

@wilriker In that case, then we also need to know how the tool has been defined.

@deckingman if you look at my screenshot and post, you can see what I configured. Using the latest available 3.0 firmware bundle from github.

@remopini We still need to know what "platform" you run it on. Available candidates are

                  • Duet3 + SBC
                  • Duet3 or Duet2 (Wifi, Ethernet, Maestro) in standalone mode

Also a full config.g can never hurt.

@SIam You can still switch (by clicking on the blue "Bett" or "Werkzeug 0"), but it is highly annoying 🙂

OK, since in all cases there is no DuetSoftwareFramework in play this means it's a bug in either RRF or DWC. I'll take a quick look at it.

EDIT: First result: DWC receives the list of correct names but fails to show them correctly in all places.

I have named tools (not the fans) and the heaters are clickable.
~~I see it that way, the fan names are displayed In the graph and the tool names are displayed in the menu. And they can differ.
Maybe the graph should also display tools and not fans.

Edit: The fan names are only displayed when no tool names are defined.~~

@DIY-O-Sphere It's not fans, it's heaters and showing tools instead of heaters in a temperature chart is a bad idea, because there isn't necessarily one heater for one tool (a tool could have 2 or more heaters or none).

I thought that are the fan names, but that is not correct. ace702ec-93cf-4618-8df5-8e403390ef69-grafik.png

                                    maybe another bug :

on the page /Job/Status only one from two (*three) Fan's shown:
                                    status-fan-hypercube.png

here you see two fan's are enabled
if i only disable the bauteilkühler then i get the message that there are no fans
                                    status-fan-show-hypercube.png

on the main page i think it's ok *because the third fan is for the hotend

Can you please check if this is fixed in DWC 2.0.6?
