@dc42 ok I understand but the problem was present at the first plug and I used the same working wiring than my working Duet2. And the message was telling that the driver 1 was short - ground and I had never plugged anything on the socket.
I repeat, I swapped the wires because it didn't work with the same wiring as my Duet2.

@Touchthebitum said in Short to ground on drivers 0123:

I forgot to mention that the error message is present without the motors plugged ...
        It is the Duet3 V1.01

Here is a photo of the plug. I tested the phase before plugging it.

        Tape is provisory.

        driver 0.jpg

What role does the tape play there? Is it possible the crimp was bad from the start and making a bad connection?

Were you getting the error before plugging anything in or only after?

@Phaedrux Tape is only a protection to avoid shorts contact. Contacts were good since I made continuity tests and resistance tests and I always had signal.

Were there any other error messages along with the short to ground errors?

@Phaedrux No, M122 had not error messages. Only those ground-short messages

Thanks. Please try commanding the motors to move (without any motors connected) and repeat that. I am looking for the driver status to change.

I have a similar issue, getting "Warning: motor phase A may be disconnected reported by driver(s)" on all drive ports with what were working stepper motors. Only possible mistake i made is connect one stepper motor to 3 pins instead of 4 ie offset one pin. Would this cause all drivers to die?

Impossible because I tested all phases before plugging motor and I checked if these big crimps went on the right place when connectind them on the Duet,

I think we should think about a warranty process. I don't know what to add to the discussion. I repeat, it is not the first printer I build and I'm aware of risks. Before this Duet3 I used a Duet2 and was perfect (no errors messages) with the same motors. This board never worked and I directly plugged the SAME motors that I plugged to my Duet2. So there is a problem.
My shop told me to see with this forum, what I did.
Now, I choosed a Genuine board because I believe in the right intelectual properties and know-how.
Please, give me a clear answer and we can go on.
                                  Thanks

Thanks for your patience, DC42 is away right now but I can help.

Looking at your latest M122 report it looks like driver 01 and 1 are damaged. its not completely clear if 2 and 3 are damaged - the motors connected to those ones could have an issue.

Can you try the following please

                                        1. check the wiring of one of your stepper with a voltmeter. they should be wired in two pairs, 1-2 and 3-4 (i.e. pin 1 to 2 should read a few Ohms, pin 3 to 4 should read a few ohms but there should be no connection between pin the pairs).

                                        2. with just that motor you have check tried it plugged into Driver 2, command a movement, send M122 and see what it says, we are looking at this part:

Supply voltage: min 24.0, current 24.1, max 24.1, under voltage events: 0, over voltage events: 0, power good: yes
12V rail voltage: min 12.1, current 12.1, max 12.1, under voltage events: 0
                                        Driver 0: short-to-ground standstill, reads 39652, writes 17 timeouts 0, SG min/max 0/0
                                        Driver 1: short-to-ground standstill, reads 39652, writes 17 timeouts 0, SG min/max 0/63
                                        Driver 2: standstill, reads 39656, writes 14 timeouts 0, SG min/max 0/0
                                        Driver 3: standstill, reads 39656, writes 14 timeouts 0, SG min/max 0/0
                                        Driver 4: standstill, reads 39660, writes 11 timeouts 0, SG min/max 0/0
                                        Driver 5: standstill, reads 39660, writes 11 timeouts 0, SG min/max 0/0

                                        1. Repeat for driver 3 and driver 4.

Lets see those three excerpts from M122.

                                          Hello

I tested pairs and got 2ohms on each pair and nothing between the two pairs
For the moves of drivers 3-4 I made z move on the duet panel Due
                                          For the driver 4 , I don't have yet a connected extruder

                                            Hi @Touchthebitum

you will need to update your configuration temporarily to use the test motor on driver 3, and then again on driver 4 - use the M584 command in config.g:

                                            (To test driver 3) :
                                            M584 X0.0 Y0.1 Z0.3 E0.2 ; Temporary drive mapping to test driver 3 as Z

                                            (To test driver 4) :
                                            M584 X0.0 Y0.1 Z0.4 E0.2 ; Temporary drive mapping to test driver 4 as Z
