@misterj With dual drive gears sometimes too much tension could lead to problems. I'd check whether you have adequate cooling on the heatbreak and whether both drive gears are actually aligned.

Our intention is that if you want to add a filament presence switch, you add a switch that shorts those 2 pads together when filament is present.

To make it easier for us (or anyone else) to prototype new functionality.

That's one for chrishamm to answer, because he write the filament management and implemented the M701-M703 commands.

As with many other things, a check will be easy to implement when we have added support for conditional GCodes and the RRF object model.

@dc42 I will upload a video this weekend of the material change in process, so that everyone can see where the issue lies and better understand how the mechanical side of my filament selector works.
