Are the OUT_3, OUT_4, OUT_5 PWM connectors on the 6XD only PWM controllable or also analog voltage controllable? To connect and control 3-wire fan? And if yes, How?

accelerometer combined with pt100 thermocouple on 6xd
Hi,
The documentation about combining the pt100 and the accelerometer is a bit confusing for me.
The documentation states: If your Duet mainboard supports more than one temperature daughterboard (Duet 3 6XD), and you have one temperature daughterboards installed, you can connect the accelerometer to the top of the temperature daughterboard.
Do they mean that I install the pt100 board as standard and then connect the accelerometer on the same SPI connector on top of the connections of the pt100? A schematic would clarify a lot here. I would not even mind drawing it, if I knew which points to connect with which one. I want to keep the accelerometer constantly connected. -
RE: Paneldue7i with 6xd and long cable with sd
@Phaedrux
If i understand it right: 1.5m is not a problem with the 4-wire cable with molex connector, but without sd functionality. Sd functionality is only possible with a length of max 40cm
?
With my former duet 0.85 i had regularly some problems with network connectivity, so i am used to troubleshoot directly via the SD. But habits can be changed -
Paneldue7i with 6xd and long cable with sd
Hi,
I was reading through the documentation of the paneldue7 and couldn't find a straightforward answer on my question.
I want to connect an Paneldue7i (version 2.02) with an 6xd (v 1.1) with a long connection cable of 1.5 m. I would still like to use the SD card reader because my 6xd is mounted on top of my printer (2.6m high) and not really accesible. I will do most interactions with the webinterface but would still like the possibility to work via the Paneldue7i if not to difficult.
The flatcable (10 wires) is clearly not an option because more then 40cm. What are my options and how do i have to connect them? If the 6xd is similar to one of the version of the 6hc, it would be handy if somebody adapt the documentation to clarify.Edit: In the specific wiring page for the paneldue the 6xd is also mentioned , so documentation is in order, my reading skills .....

RE: controlling (multiple) closed loop steppers
@fcwilt Thanks, that answers all my questions. I will indeed go that route: the 6XD for all servos and closed loop steppers. and if i have a normal stepper i can always choose to use the 3HC addon or the tool card or an extra external driver. Solved.

RE: How to enable and disable brake on 6xd?
@lazy_mosquito Would it for instance be possible to use the enable pin or the 5V_ext from every driver and connect it to a relay to trigger the 24V needed for the brake? Or is there a better way? How would i create the delay for putting on the brakes?

How to enable and disable brake on 6xd?
Hi,
I have a delta XL printer and i am redesigning it to be used as a ceramic printer. The extruder of the ceramic printer is much heavier (between 1 and 2 kg) So everytime i cut of the power the head falls down. I will now install integrated servos with a brake. How should i wire the brakes on a 6XD?
