      Currently I am setting up a CR10s and I am using Molex MicroFit 3.0 connectors to tidy things up instead of reducing the number of wires. I have the usual Stepper Motor wire, 2 - 4-Pin Molex connectors one that has extruder fan/part cooling fan, and the other has Thermistor / heater cartridge.

      @phaedrux it's still a gamble. No guarantee it will be accurate. IR beam is also quite large and hotend is small. In order for IR to measure temperature, the surface has to fill the beam completely. For hotbed also it is easy to just use contact thermometer, will be much more reliable.

      Have you just run the bed compensation routine?

      When was the last time you leveled the bed manually and calibrated your probe trigger height?

      Have you had a head crash since the last calibration?
