    • Presentation of the CR-3D C1 with Duet Electronics

      Hello dear community,

      I am Christian from CR-3D, a german 3d printer manufacturer.
      I just wanted to introduce you to my new CoreXY printer, the C1, with a print volume of 320x250x350mm.

      In C1 a Duet Wifi is installed. As an Auto BedLeveling sensor I use the IR Probe. As a user interface I use a 7 inch Raspberry Touch with Repetier Server.
      The 230V AC heatbed can be heated up to 120Β°C and has a magnetic exchange system of the printplates.
      The CoreXY Motionsystem will soon also be extended by a ToolChanger and there are different printheads.

      Here is a picture ...

      Ok .. good that we finally found the bug!

      Too bad it is not so easy to solve now ... Ok I will try to put everything back to the old SETUP and hope we can find a quick solution here ... thank you in advance πŸ™‚

    • CR-3D Liquid Series

      The L-series from CR-3D is a modified version of the industrial series with two dispensers and a UV curing lamp.

      Of course, we rely on controller boards from Duet3D out of conviction and as a german reseller -> to the CR-3D Duet Shop

      Demo-Anlage.JPG

      Thanks to the proven IDEX system, prints can be made with different materials or different nozzle geometries. Another advantage of the independent print heads is the ability to produce several components in one operation on the currently 220 x 220mm printing plate. As with all CR-3D systems, the system can easily be adapted to larger installation spaces.
      A Duet2 Wifi EA and a DUEX 5 are installed in the current setup. As with the large CR-3D printer models, a Duet 3 6HC is installed for the series machine.

      CR-3D_Liquid_3D-Printing.jpg

      It is a Cartesian IDEX kinematics with independent dual Z-axis with tilt function.
      Many products known from CR-3D are installed, such as the MagnetiCR Swap System for the printing plates or the SupCRprobe as a Z-Probe.

      @dc42 ok thank you!

      I overread this section... in this printer series we tested it today there wasnΒ΄t this section in the tpost.g

      if that was the solution, i take everything back and claim the opposite!

      We can use M500 / M500 P10 / M500 P31 / M500 P10:31 and nothing gets deleted πŸ™‚

      Thank you everybody for your help! πŸ™‚

      My solution is following:

      1. Read out my z-offset with G31 via serial command in the console of my server
      2. Change my Z-Offset with G31 Z?.?
      3. Save settings with M500 G31

      This is working well for me πŸ™‚

      Sorry Guys... I was not available for a few days!

      @oliof
      I use the raspberry pi with repetier server, because the touch and web interface is really clean and easy!
      It is simply very clear and now in the near future there will be a program to manage all the printers in one interface. and that makes a lot of sense in printing-farms!

      And it is not Repetier-Host... it is repetier-Server! But itΒ΄s quite the same, both with usb connection!

      -> Question: Is it possible to bring the DWC to the raspberry pi?

      @CaLviNx
      Thank you for your honest opinion! and I can understand it very well, because I often ask the same question! yes it is actually stupid if you throttled down the performance of duet! But unfortunately it really is the case that the companies prefer this surface and thus accept the performance restrictions.

      @bearer
      Yes in the next time there will be an integrated slicer from repetier!

    • Looking for Config.g for Cartesian/ IDEX with Duet3 and RRF3!?!

      Hi Community...

      i currently have a lot of problems with my config of my cartesian IDEX printer. So I wanted to ask if such a system happened to run with a Duet3 and RRF3.

      Since I still have to change a lot myself after a configuration in the online tool, I fear that I will have the same errors again ... so I ask for an example.

      I can then adapt it to my exact configuration ...

      Thank you very much!

    • RE: Saftey Door Switches for BIG printers

      Solved!

      I created the switches like following in the config.g:

      ; Custom Safety Settings

      ; Open Door Switch

      M950 J0 C"!1.io0.in"
      M950 J1 C"!1.io1.in"
      M950 J2 C"!1.io2.in"

      ; Emergency Stop
      M950 J3 C"!1.io3.in"

      And at the homeall.g I used the conditional commands:

      ; homeall.g
      ; called to home all axes

      if sensors.gpIn[0].value==1 & sensors.gpIn[1].value==1 & sensors.gpIn[2].value==1 & sensors.gpIn[3].value==1 ;If the Doors are closed and the emergency stop is released -> Homing

      	M106 P0 S0		; Part cooling Fan off
      	G91                    ; relative positioning

      	G1 H2 Z10 F6000         ; lift Z relative to current position
      	G1 H1 X-650 Y550 U650 F5000 ; first pass XYU
      	G1 H2 X5 Y-5 U-5 F6000     ; go back a few mm
      	G1 H1 X-20 Y20 U20 F360  ; second pass XY

      	G90                   ; absolute positioning
      	G1 X270 Y170 U460 F20000    ; first bed probe point -> move X to the middle of the Bed, U outside and home Z

      	G30

      Now if the doors are open or the emergency stop is active the printer will not move πŸ˜‰

      Thank you for your help!

    • RE: RRF3 -> Z-Probe was not triggered during probing move

      @dc42

      Thank you david for your answer, that appears after a correct solution. But only as a counter question, why does a "single probe with G30" work very reliably with the Z probe on the mainboard and the motors on the expansion board?
      I did repeat tests and had results of about 0.01mm with single probing ...

      but no matter ... it makes sense to connect both on the same board!

      Yes I know this limitation... I swapped the Z-motors to the expansion board, because some days ago we had following problem, and there was no other solution to swap the Y-motors to the main board.

      https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/17153/duet3-expansion-board-3hc-no-can-connection/50?_=1594149269971

      With this problem at the time, I even had the endstops on the 3HC board and it still didn't work.

      That is why the three Z-axes are now on the expansion board. This made me forget to put the Z-probe from the main board onto the expansion board.

      I just tried to test it, hoping to find the solution here. I put the Z-probe on the PIN C "^! 1.io5.in".

      ; Z-Probe
      M558 K0 P5 C"^!1.io5.in" H5 F400 T10000 ; Z probe type -> Induktiv

      6bdc69d5-e873-49b8-9636-b050a7149006-image.png

      As soon as I plug in the z-probe here and adjust the config, the Z-probe disappears from the dashboard and with a probe command the error message appears that the Z-probe could not be found.

      As soon as I plug it back into the main board, it appears again!

      what can be the problem here?

      Plugging the Z motors onto the mainboard is not an option due to the homing error mentioned above for the Y axis.

      Or would it be possible to have one motor (i.e. 1x Y and 1x Z) on the main board and the others on the expansion board?

      @Skimmy special thanks for the detailed examination of the code the last days πŸ™‚

      @Karma : I use NEMA 23 motors at the y-axis and they need this current

      many thanks for the numerous answers! I hope, we find a solution πŸ™‚

    • is a delayed triggering of the filament sensor possible?

      Hi dear community,

      I wanted to ask if someone has an idea to start an action after 50cm after triggering the filament sensor.

      The reason for this is that we installed the filament sensor on the back of the printer and we have a customer who uses very expensive metal filaments. And so we would like to use the rest of the material.

      IMG_20200827_190644.jpg

      Sure we could try to bring the sensor close to the extruder, but first I thought of a software solution πŸ™‚

      Firmware is RRF 3.3
