    • Presentation of the CR-3D C1 with Duet Electronics

      Hello dear community,

      I am Christian from CR-3D, a german 3d printer manufacturer.
      I just wanted to introduce you to my new CoreXY printer, the C1, with a print volume of 320x250x350mm.

      In C1 a Duet Wifi is installed. As an Auto BedLeveling sensor I use the IR Probe. As a user interface I use a 7 inch Raspberry Touch with Repetier Server.
      The 230V AC heatbed can be heated up to 120°C and has a magnetic exchange system of the printplates.
      The CoreXY Motionsystem will soon also be extended by a ToolChanger and there are different printheads.

      Here is a picture ...

      Ok .. good that we finally found the bug!

      Too bad it is not so easy to solve now ... Ok I will try to put everything back to the old SETUP and hope we can find a quick solution here ... thank you in advance 🙂

    • CR-3D Liquid Series

      The L-series from CR-3D is a modified version of the industrial series with two dispensers and a UV curing lamp.

      Of course, we rely on controller boards from Duet3D out of conviction and as a german reseller -> to the CR-3D Duet Shop

      Demo-Anlage.JPG

      Thanks to the proven IDEX system, prints can be made with different materials or different nozzle geometries. Another advantage of the independent print heads is the ability to produce several components in one operation on the currently 220 x 220mm printing plate. As with all CR-3D systems, the system can easily be adapted to larger installation spaces.
      A Duet2 Wifi EA and a DUEX 5 are installed in the current setup. As with the large CR-3D printer models, a Duet 3 6HC is installed for the series machine.

      CR-3D_Liquid_3D-Printing.jpg

      It is a Cartesian IDEX kinematics with independent dual Z-axis with tilt function.
      Many products known from CR-3D are installed, such as the MagnetiCR Swap System for the printing plates or the SupCRprobe as a Z-Probe.

      @dc42 ok thank you!

      I overread this section... in this printer series we tested it today there wasn´t this section in the tpost.g

      if that was the solution, i take everything back and claim the opposite!

      Thank you for your prompt reply 🙂

      Quick answer -> now it works!

      We can use M500 / M500 P10 / M500 P31 / M500 P10:31 and nothing gets deleted 🙂

      Thank you everybody for your help! 🙂

      My solution is following:

      1. Read out my z-offset with G31 via serial command in the console of my server
      2. Change my Z-Offset with G31 Z?.?
      3. Save settings with M500 G31

      This is working well for me 🙂

      Sorry Guys... I was not available for a few days!

      @oliof
      I use the raspberry pi with repetier server, because the touch and web interface is really clean and easy!
      It is simply very clear and now in the near future there will be a program to manage all the printers in one interface. and that makes a lot of sense in printing-farms!

      And it is not Repetier-Host... it is repetier-Server! But it´s quite the same, both with usb connection!

      -> Question: Is it possible to bring the DWC to the raspberry pi?

      @CaLviNx
      Thank you for your honest opinion! and I can understand it very well, because I often ask the same question! yes it is actually stupid if you throttled down the performance of duet! But unfortunately it really is the case that the companies prefer this surface and thus accept the performance restrictions.

      @bearer
      Yes in the next time there will be an integrated slicer from repetier!

    • Looking for Config.g for Cartesian/ IDEX with Duet3 and RRF3!?!

      Hi Community...

      i currently have a lot of problems with my config of my cartesian IDEX printer. So I wanted to ask if such a system happened to run with a Duet3 and RRF3.

      Since I still have to change a lot myself after a configuration in the online tool, I fear that I will have the same errors again ... so I ask for an example.

      I can then adapt it to my exact configuration ...

      Thank you very much!

      Hello Community, hi @dc42,

      we have a setup with two duet 3 mini 5+ connected via CAN. The Z-axis and the extruder 0 are connected to board 1. After a print height of approx. 5mm, the extruder and the Z-axis no longer move and are without power. This is repeatable and has now occurred at least 5 times in a row.

      @T3P3Tony

      Yes Tony... if you use Z - ??? it works fine of course. This we use mostly.

      But in some cases the Z Tooloffset of other Tools then Tool 0 is positive like T1 Z0.85 then there will be a gap like in the picture above.

      We will implement it in the Toolchange macros but I think it is not the finest way... because with our easy toolchange system you can easy insert another tools with different length and then you have to adjust Tooloffset and open the software limit in the Toolchange macro...

    • RE: software limits prevent negative tool offset on IDEX Printer

      @T3P3Tony

      The right tool (Tool 1) is higher than Tool 0 -> so the title is wrong... it is a positive tool offset...

      PXL_20221201_082256863.jpg

      Tool 0: offsets X0.000 Y0.000 Z0.000 U0.000
      Tool 1: offsets X0.000 Y-0.650 Z0.724 U-0.300

      @dc42

      I also thought of that, but what speaks against allowing it directly in the firmware. If tool 1 was selected and it has a tool offset like this, I think you can open the software limits by this offset in this case?

    • software limits prevent negative tool offset on IDEX Printer

      Unfortunately, we are currently encountering an old familiar topic again.

      If you need negative values for the tool offsets because this tool is shorter than tool 0, then the bed cannot approach the nozzle of tool 1.

      The software limits are set to 0 at Z to prevent any collision at tool 0.

      M208 Z0:500

      In my opinion, the software limit must be shifted by the negative ToolOffset so that a shorter tool can be used.

      Everything else is not a clean solution in my opinion.

      @PCR @dc42 what do you think therefore?

      Thank you very much!

      @dc42 Hi David,

      I have to join this conversation because through my contact to @Heartleander81 i noticed this effect with "round corners" at some of our machines to.

      I think this comes with newer firmware and if you made some changes into PA there would be an issue. But how can we test it that it would be helpfull for you?

      one of our customers has now contacted us explicitly about this effect and is looking for a solution. I can't compensate for it by increasing the PA value. We've tested a lot here.

      I will make a new documaetation with the newest Firmware tomorrow.

      The issue with the incorrect height after the tool change was fixed from you!

      The only problem is the handling of the tool position (old position of the previous tool) after the toolchange... this is not working.
