    • RE: delta Z motor goes clunk, regardless of motor or driver

I remember I had a similar problem with 3.4b6. It was fixed in 3.4b7. It was something with calculations of steps for deltas.

@apak Yes, Do you want the holes to be with modeled threads or just holes, I guess that M3 holes are not going to be well printed?

Made some mounts for the Orbiter 2.0. Works great with my 80mm smart effector adapter. Weight is 12 grams.

@Fred-Y I have been thinking of that solution for my Orbiter 2.0. With my 80mm rod spacing adapter the Orbiter can be mounted horizontally.

@tecno The carriage adapter is my own design (CNC milled) that fit on a Hiwin linear block. The rail is mounted inside the tower (C-Beam extrusion). The ends of the belt are clamped on the carriage adapter.

    • Smart effector adapter 80mm

Going to use 80mm rod spacing. Design and manufactured an adapter for the smart effector. CNC milled aluminum, weight 38grams. The plan is to use an Orbiter 2.0 extruder.

    • RE: G30 H?

@tecno Just tested my new delta setup. Changed to linear bearings and 80mm rod spacing and a 80mm adapter for the smart effector. Adjusted the sensitivity of the smart effector so there is a distinct click sound every time the nozzle hits the bed when probing. Not sure about the H parameter but I have H0 on all G30. I think my delta is about the size you have. Points 249, Radius 225. The bed is cast and milled 8mm aluminum.

    • RE: Tuning different stepper motors.

@zbeeble it was just an idea because I think the z axis doesn't need so much power to operate comparing to x and y.

@zbeeble Not knowing how your printer is designed but is it possible to switch the z motors with the x and y?

Maybe an output of M122 after this strange jogging could give some information?

    • RE: 15500 Hz Whine at idle

@dezdoghound as @dc42 mentioned I think this is from the power supply. It is common that a switched power supply generates a whining sound when no load is applied.

    • RE: I need hands on support upgrading my Delta's firmware.

@ottobawt maybe not so much help but I would suggest to make a new config with the config tool and take it from there.
Tell us about your printer and post your actual g-files for your printer.

    • Pancake stepper for flying extruder

Thinking of saving some weights on the extruder for my Delta printer. I have a Micro Swiss Bowden Dual Gear Extruder M2714. Is there any suitable pancake stepper that will work? Running Duet2 Wifi with 24v PS.
      Thanks

@rushmere3d You can make a new config with the configtool and compare it with your current config.
