Hi!
As I switched to a Duet3 Mini for my FLSUN SR, I'm selling:
- 1x Duet2 wifi board (wifi module has external antenna): 80€
- 1x Duex5 extandion board: 60€
- 1x PaneldDue Controller + 7" screen and custom enclosure: 50€
(only to Europe).

@droftarts if you look at the Laser filament monitor doc page, the first picture shows a v1.2 PCB
Thanks for the infos and the link to the indirect mod!
I have a v1.2, not a v1.7; is it ok?
Does it work with 3.3V, like recent sensors? I don't have any free input with 5V power supply.
The modified version could be interesting...
Hi!
I still have one of the early laser filament monitors, using direct reading, with a PCB rev. 1.2, and I would like to know if it is still supported on a Duet3 Mini 5+?
I just want to use it as a runout sensor, and maybe as jammed sensor if it works reliably... What is the basic config (M591) for such use case?
Thanks,
@dc42 Thanks! I do have a Z-probe.
@droftarts Thanks for the drawing!
What accuracy (%) is needed for the different values?
Hi!
I'm configuring RRF for my FLSUN SR, and I'm not sure to understand the different values used by the M665 command... Is there a drawing showing how these dimensions are measured?
I found config files on 2 threads in this forum, but values seem to be the default ones generated by the online tool, and do not match the printer.
Thanks,
@rqthree Thanks, I'll read the entire thread again to see how other guys do...
@rqthree BTW, how do you get the sharp edge on the flanged bearing? With a lathe?
@rqthree There is a problem with these files: Carrier_Assy.FCStd and Knife_Bearing.FCStd ; I'm unable to open them, neither other people at my hackerspace (they freeze or crash FreeCAD).
Could you save them as STEP files?
Thanks,
@rqthree very cute extruder!
Do you have some more informations about the motors and all vitamins used? Would you share your 3D models?
Thanks,
@Fred-Y Thanks, I'm interested by your adapter, if you can find it...
About the flying extruder, I did consider it, but I'm afraid it won't be as good as a direct-drive.
Hi!
So, I used my stock FLSUN SR for several months, and it's now time to switch to Duet3/RRF!
I would also like to replace the Bowden extruder by a direct one. Do you have any suggestions? At the same time, I plan to mount a Smart Effector: do you confirm it is compatible with the SR? The arms balls do not seem to be maintained in the same way...
Thanks,
@teddphilipss The big problem I found is the clearance between the extruder and the rods, when the effector tilts. It needs a large effector. Or use a Bowden config, which I don't like very much (I will soon switch to a direct extruder on my FL SUN).
No, I didn't do anything. I bought a FLS SUN SR2 ! I may put a 2 axis (A/B) system on the bed, one day...
@zapta Yes, it would be nice!
But I guess it would require some custom code on the Duet? Or maybe add some in-between electronic, to convert datas...
Hi!
I just bought a used FLSUN SR, as I have not enough time to work on my CoreXY (this will be for later), and I always wanted to try a Delta
I plan to replace the electronic with a Duet 3 Mini 5+, and put a direct-drive extruder.
Did anyone already make such changes? Any advice?
Thanks,
Nice! I found on some datasheets that a ribbon cables can handle up to 1A, in free air. So, yes, using 2 wires for the power supply should be ok.
