Ah, thanks. I didn't assemble it, it was a ready-to-print purchase.

Editing files sliced with absolute extrusion is tricky because you need to make sure that after the lines you deleted, there are no G1 commands with an E parameter until after the next G92 E0 command. Use relative extrusion instead, it makes editing the files easier and technically it makes far more sense.

My guess is that somewhere around layers 56 or 57 there is something that made a difference.

sandy - if you're probing onto the onyx, the white paint will definitely throw it off & do weird things. For a while I had black paper between the onyx & the glass. That was OK, but I've since painted the bottom of the glass with high temp spray point (for BBQ grills) and it made my results much more repeatable and consistent.

I highly recommend it, I did two coats right onto the glass, then baked it in the oven to cure it.

Looking at your config.g file I see that you have only one extruder drive configured on tool 0 yet you have mixing enabled. Try it without enabling mixing.

If you suspect a problem with the E0 motor driver, you could move the motor to E1 (with power off of course) and adjust your M563 command accordingly.

Addendum, Okay, something has changed for the better - but I'm at a loss why this worked.
I'd also had a heater fault, and entered M562 P1 to reset it.

Doing that seems to have reset the motors though it shouldn't have any effect at all. Now, at least I can make changes with the M92 and they seem to have the right effect.
