      I am using version 3.4.5 both firmware and DWC.

      I finally got it to work. It was the access point and a network cable plugged in but not to 100%. The little RPJ45 tap was lost. (embarrassed)

      @Stout

      Thanks for all your constructive positive inputs.

      Meh. Just wanted to generate some understanding for developers and the decisions they have to take.

      so why throw it away? Beacuse it's 12 years old?

      Beware! Remember the venerable Newton I mentioned above? Or look at @droftarts’ suggestions. BTW: until now, I replaced more than 10 batteries of iPhones and iPads instead of trashing them. The monitor of my M2 is a 12 year old iMac (modded), I run a G5 „cheese grater“ for elaborated HDD recovery, and my Duet lives in a G4 casing.

      The thing is: Apple cuts support for older machines, so we are on our own with how to keep them alive and useful. Some of us then install Linux, some jailbreak their iOS devices in order to install unsupported software.

      This card I bought from Ali many years ago. I have two "original" cards that are still working fine.

      Just a follow up...

      I applied a buck converter to the external 5V power and the wifi is working again as nothing has happened.

      So I'm pleased that I asked for help as I probably would not think of getting the power from the external 5V. It was easier than I thought to fix it.

      I agree with that. Never trusted those ACME leadscrews and went for ballscrews instead.
      @Stout there are a few antiwobble ACME nuts on thingiverse, you might want to add those, before you find out, that the Spitfire puzzle parts don't match each other.

      I found a windmill airfoil I made from transparent PETG. Although I'm using ballscrews, they show signs of banding.
      You only get, what you pay for...
      I wouldn't spent too much thinking on the banding, but find a slicer/extruder setting that works well with single wall (over the whole length of the part)
      Will you hang the Spitty from the ceiling, or will it fly for real one day?
