      A Former User?

The most common cause for those to fail are short circuits in wiring, so you might want to examine your wiring to avoid the last one failing as well.

Have you used F1 before? It's unusual for those to have a cascading failure (or possibly impossible?)

Jumper should be removed before performing the flash operation, otherwise board will remain in bootloader.

Some have issues with resetting the board after flashing, I prefer the command line version as it takes care of the reset in software. Recent topic about the same (adjust filename and COM port number to suit if you wanna give it a go)

@firex726 It will depend on the signal your laser module is expecting. Does this guide apply? https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Laser_PWM_control
Otherwise, search the forum for other examples of hooking up a laser: https://forum.duet3d.com/search/?term=diode laser&in=titlesposts
It may also be firmware dependent. What firmware version are you on? Send M115, post response. Your full config.g would probably help, too.

@mrehorstdmd said in Do I need to replace my belts? Lines not stright:

The belt tension affects squareness of the X and Y rails. When you put the first belt on the machine, don't immediately pull it to final tension. Adding and tensioning the second belt will also tighten the first belt.

Yes, that correct. Took me some time to realize it. Now I adjust the two belts for the XY to be square. I move the x rail toward the front on the printer until it hits the motor mount on one side and then adjust the belts such that it hits both right and left motor mounts at the same time. I also keep significant tension on both belt, seems to have less backlash that way.

Yep, that looks to have fixed things... Now onto tuning.

      Thanks for everyone's help!

Ha ha I haven't commented on this thread before but have followed it along the way. Just goes to show while building and setting up 3D printers can be very frustrating at times, if you stick with it and work through problems logically you get there in the end.

I've been a member of this forum for 5 years now, active off and on and it is by far the best community I have found.

For those that are far more knowledgable than I and constantly strive to help others and never giving up, like in this thread, and never getting fed up with constant "noob" questions, I thank you!

On a personal note, I'm immensely grateful to have such a wealth of knowledge at my finger tips and probably would have given up on this hobby long ago.

Oh dear god, I seem to have something in my eye causing it to water 😂 I'm going now lol
