      Misumi offers specific lengths of wire (100 mm increments) with nylon connectors already fitted both ends, or wires already stripped on one end.

      E.G, with JST SM connector: https://us.misumi-ec.com/vona2/detail/110500045910/?Inch=0

      Now, it's not the best solution, because it doesn't seem you can mix and match the nylon connector styles (edit: correction -- it seems they do offer the service, but I have not explored that yet), but it can definitely save a lot of time and labour, leaving you and your crew to add connectors to steppers, and terminate the cable as you need it (or just specify a connector with a suitable pitch to plug into duet boards, though they do not seem to have the exact appropriate connector.)

      One nice thing, is that they do seem to offer the connectors needed to plug directly into stepper motors with the small nylon connector right on the body. I forget which it is, but I think I verified this previously.

      @dc42 Thanks for the heads up on that. We move large distances on single g-commands, because we're not a printer that has to do stuff along the way. We also have natural pauses before and after each move for other activity. So, waiting for the OK is fine for us.

      I'll be looking out for the warning messages during stall. Thank you!

      This was an issue with the pump pulling against dead head and not getting enough momentum to turn over properly. Opening the solenoid to allow flow on pump startup solved the issue. Not related to duet.

      Pinout diagrams are on the wiki. The 5V regulator is rated at 2A but this has to cover the current draw of the Duet itself as well as anything to connect to the expansoin connector and/or the panelDue connector.

      M119 won't show the status of the endstop input if you have used M574 to say you are using stall detection or a Z probe instead of a Z endstop switch.

      @dc42 Thanks for sticking with me on this. When I set the firmware compatibility to Marlin previously, I just sent the M555 S2 command from the terminal emulator. After thinking about it some more, I thought to add the command directly to the general config.g settings, and it worked!

      I now get an "ok" back for every command I send. I added two M400 commands to make sure I know when the batch of movement commands are completed executing.

      I should say too that I am using a Mac terminal for most of this development work, and also used Pronterface and Arduino IDE previously, but hadn't set the Marlin compatibility directly in config.g

      I am also using serial.Serial() to open the connection via USB port. Works great!

      tl;dr Receive "ok"s by setting M555 S2 in config.g file, instead of trying to send M555 S2 over terminal. (I think setting it in the config file makes it more permanent)
