Have you seen the documentation for the Duex5 itself?

If your fans and VIN are both 24v you would jumper the VIN position.

Place the fan voltage select jumper in the 5V, 12V or VIN position according to your needs

the SB board is just a breakout board and does not use USB or CAN

Well that looks better.

If that is not working then I would check the wiring from the probe - as I recall it was a black and white pair of wires.

The position it goes to is defined in homez.g. If it's not going where you want it, you need to edit that file.
