The two Z motor connectors on the Duet are connected in series, not in parallel as they are on some other boards. So you should not increase the current just because there are 2 motors.

The Z axis should always point up, no matter what type of printer you have. If that results in X and Y being swapped compared to your printer, then you have the axes swapped on your printer, and all the prints you do will be mirrored. Do a print that doesn't have left-right or front-back symmetry and you will see what I mean.

this is not currently possible. why do you need to have different spacing?

Yeah I know! And thank you, I also did mill a slot (for the cable) and a hole for the thermistor and cemented it down with heat-conducting silicone first before I added the silicone heater. I think it works great and with a 230v silicone heater it heats up fast but it needs some time to get all the way out to the edges.

Think I solved it! There must be some bug in Chrishamm´s files because after downgrading to David´s files it all worked. From chrishamm´s RepRapFirmware Version 1.19-b6 to David´s Version 1.18.1 and DWC, chrishamm´s Version 1.16 to David´s Version 1.15c. No other changes where done…

@Bravojul my issue is resolved thanks to David, but thanks for the hint, I did try that also. Its not my wifi router (never would have bought an apple router..) but somehow it blacklisted my MAC address. Now I have other problems not being able to home the printer…

That's right but if you want to move to a specific position before heating like an ooze bucket as I used to have then you can move in the script but S3D does the heating always before your script is executed.
Using those variables disables the automatic heating and you can place it yourself where you want in the startup procedure and do a move first or leveling before heating to the final print temperature…

Okey, think I will go with the bed.g solution then.

So, I had the right idea how the axis should work, and after the 7:th combination and switched x & y motor connections I finally found the right settings!
