I think that 311832 is in pages, so at 4k pages, that's 1.2GB of total VM usage? Well over the actual ram of the Pi and into swap. Is DWC expected to use so much memory?
If you look in the RRF release notes, you will find the recommended compatible version of DWC for each release. Other versions may work, but that is not guaranteed.
I see no reason to send a PR to PrusaSlicer before that part is complete.
@chrishamm, while you interacting with Prusa, can you also ask to increase the PrusaSlicer's timeout for Duet's uploads? Last time I checked it was 10 secs which cause the upload to fail on large prints. A minute or two should be fine.
(my upload speed from DWC is ~200KB/s. Using RRF 2)
would sugget there is something wrong with the cable and/or the Duet and the router is unable to negotate a link. If the router support forcing a link speed or duplex setting that might be worth a try.
@bearer I was just trying to point out that is something needed for some scenario, in any way, even if we are in our own private network. There is no need to "reinvent the wheel".
@CCS86 This limit has been defined because at a certain size the HTML textarea becomes too slow to work with. We might be able to remove that once the new G-code editor from the pending DWC PR has been merged.
