        Is there a Reprap Slicer that the community finds works best?

        For what printer and what Duet board? Duet3d Mini5 on Prusa MK3?

          Hi,

          I have a MB6HC with a SBC-Rasbarry Pi 4.

          I am using the apt-get update / apt-get upgrade. It says that nothing to upgrade. But when I try the M115 command it says firmware 3.2.2

          Do I do something wrong?

          I have been following the documentation.

              @zapta It's a custom built very large printer with a duet 3 MB6HC.

                @schickfus can you open a separate thread for your issue please

                    @damaged_goods I use SuperSlicer. https://github.com/supermerill/SuperSlicer/releases

                    It has thumbnails compatible with the PanelDue.

                            I installed it, and all I see is that it's asking me to link my printer...

                            Does this require me to send the file to the printer directly? Or can I just save the gcode with the image embedded?

                              @tfjield That plugin allows you to send the gcode files directly to the printer, yes, and also will embed the thumbnail. I believe you can also save the gcode file locally.

                                @tfjield it will ask you to link to a printer, but after you sliced a file you will see a little caret on the blue "Send to ..." button where you can choose to save the file locally.

                                    After I installed it, I now have 4 options after slicing:

                                    • Simulate on xxx
                                    • Print on xxx
                                    • Upload to xxx
                                    • Save to Disk

                                    If I choose Save to Disk, it looks like the plugin is bypassed and the thumbnail isn't generated. All of the other 3 options appear to require my printer to be online.

                                    Is this correct, or am I doing something wrong?

                                      @tfjield its probably worth to open a separate thread for this discussion so we can drag in @resam who is the plugin author.

                                        @tfjield short answer: the "Save to Disk" option is from plain Cura - not my plugin. If you want a dedicated "Save to Disk with thumbnails"-like option, let's move the conversation to a new thread.
