    did you ever figured that out? I am running on the same issue here, although when I unplug the pin on exp.heater3, the laser fires up anyway...

    @sarvan
    Usually the barrel jack connector is the power In plug for the laser and fans etc...
    The 12V pin on the PWM connector can be used to feed external devices from the same PSU or just use a potmeter to control laser power.

    For you it means you could feed the Duet with a 12V supply and use a heater output to feed the laser thru the barrel jack. An emergency button and keylock switch between Duet and Laser can save your eyesight or your childrens health.
    The PWM port can be connected as I described in another thread. ( same way as your picture shows)

    @sarvan said in 3D TOUCH need resistor?:

    @phaedrux is there any way to measure the output voltage of the probe?

    If you have a meter capable of measuring DV volts in the range of 0 to 24 VDC put the black lead on GEN and the red lead on Z MIN.

    That assumes that SIG is used to control the probe.

    @sarvan
    Looks like you don't need a diode unless your Duet2 WiFi is revision 1.03 or earlier.

    @sarvan the duet boards can handle 15-18 amps depending on which one you have. 260w at 24v is 10.8 amps. So you'll be fine without one
