@droftarts Well, it looks a lot like the tower-0 level... I though that would be corrected by the auto calibration.... I guess I was wrong....
Looks like I'll need to do some measuring with actual precision

Its about 2cm from the nozzle horizontally, I dont have a spirit level on it
I do think its the unsquareness of the build rather than effector tilt though
Your IR probe, I think the oldest version...
Hi All,
I hope someone can help me with this. I am trying to calibrate my Delta. I find quite some drift in the trigger height over the build place (5mm at the worst, see pic) indicating something is not square, which I'll have to fix, but I am hoping I can correct for this until I have time to take thing apart (again)...
I am following https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Calibrating_a_delta_printer, but the process of measuring trigger height at different spots is not clear to me.
Question 1: Is it possible to adjust for this large trigger height differential?
Question 2: When measuring trigger height for the purpose of trigger height adjustment in bed.g, should I
Many thanks!
Sylvain
@Phaedrux Again I learn much from your experience, thanks!
@dc42 only the oracle of info at duet3d dot com will tell. We'll see.
@dc42 Sadly, assuming your stock system is accurate, I am out of luck stockwise...
@dc42 said in Delta Metal-balls with round magnets:

Thanks @dc42, I'll see if I can find a supplier in Europe...
@3mm disclaimer, I never had that error...
Could you do the bed-level and filament flow calibrations?
Hi All,
I have a sizable delta printer (@dc42 design) that is currently using Traxxas joints. I am thinking of upgrading the joints to magnetic and I think I like the balls-in-the-rod design but I'm not sure yet.
@dhusolo , do you use an enclosure, if so, can you point me to it?
@Phaedrux , @bearer I thought something like this would look cool https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3206822.. But I guess you guys are right and having a separate box for the PI + Duet is preferable over an all in one solution.
I really like the modular approach you took and would like to mod your enclosure to fit my delta (and to add a Raspberry PI 7" screen to it. I tried loading in your files to FreeCad, but it struggled a bit to create a meaningful shape from the mesh.
What did you make them with?
Could
@jay_s_uk running using the execonmcode plugin sounds a bit safer then just pulling the power on the PI ;). It would make sense for this to be a normal part of the DWC framework wouldnt it?
@dc42, would it be possible to do a remote shutdown of the PI from a standard M-code in the future?
Cheers
My main issue is that I need to send a shutdown -h now from a real computer every time I want to shut down the printer. Keeping the PI powered on will also solve that.
However, how would I switch on the 24v supply? I cant use the GPIO, since they are all used to talk to the Duet... Is there a pin-header on the duet that could be used for this (assuming we power the duet's 5v logic from the RPI side)?
@3mm I'm using superslicer with a delta. Feel free to reach out if you get stuck.
Hi All,
Before I go and spend a lot of time on something that someone much more skilled than I already solved, I thought it smart to check.
Has anyone already designed an enclosure for the Duet 3 + Raspberry PI + 7" touch screen display.
Thanks!
Sylvain
@Phaedrux everything therr, except making sure it's all squared apparently...
So back to squaring
