    Hi,

I'm tired of my delta printer....

The last thing is that another duet board has fallen, and it's the second... I've decided to start over...

He look for kit recommendations for corexy.... Not long ago I asked, and they recommended a Voron0, because I was looking for a small size.... But when my main printer dies, the idea is a corexy of 30x30x30 cm print volume.

Recomendation for a corexy (aprox 30x30x30)... I have see time ago, that some of that kits, you can order Duet... I am interested in that...

    Thanks in advance

      @peirof

One of the current popular and very capable printers is the Voron 2.4.

It is a CoreXY but with a fixed bed (the XY gantry moves in Z).

You can get kits in different sizes - I've seen 250x250, 300x300 and 350x350.

Everything I've read says it is a great printer.

Printers: a small Utilmaker style, a small CoreXY and a E3D MS/TC setup. Various hotends. Using Duet 3 hardware running 3.4.6

@peirof RailCore. Found my voron2.4 unreliable. Stripped and sold it.

I know a number of people running Vorons and are struggling, mainly because of the SKRs or BTT and Klipper combo.
It just does weird things. Z offset fine one day, next it is either digging in the bed or too high.

RailCore imo is the way to go. Plus there is less plastic parts to print and they can be upgraded to metal parts.

        RailCore II - Duet Mini + 1LC, Voron V0.1 - Duet Mini
Voron 2.4 disassembled..... Waiting for the RailCore Mini....

          @peirof Maybe one of these?

I have no experience other than a SeeMeCNC Delta kit I got years ago and updated to Duet and just keep printing with it.

@peirof, Voron are well designed printers. If you want 300mm corexy they have Trident (latest design, series 1) and Voron 2.4 (slightly older design, series 2). They are both good, well documented, complete designs (e.g. real cable management) and can be enclosed enclosed (in case you also want to print ABS and the likes).

The default configurations are Raspberry Pi + Klipper firmware + Chinese boards but you can use whatever you want (I use Duet5+2 standalone with RRF and it works well for me, but people with Klipper and new boards such as Octopus or Spyder also seem to be happy.).

They also has Switchboard which is a corezx (bed moves in y direction).

The recommended way is to purchase individual components yourself based on the sourcing guide and configurator's output. There are Aliexpress kits that can work and recently good quality kits are starting to emerge (e.g. LDO for V1, Trident and V2.4 in next few months). These kits don't include printed parts (should use ABS or ABS+, not PLA, ABS, or anything else) so you can print them on your current printer (enclosed it somehow), order from the Voron PIF program or from sellers such as on Etsy.

Here is Thomas's opinion about his V2.4. He didn't enclosed it, uses duet, and some high flow extruder but same V2.4 frame and movement. https://youtu.be/0E0dM0ZdpRE

I have built a Jubilee ... so far I am quite happy with the way it turned out but it is still early in the process for me. I decided to go with a 4 tool changing setup but it should be easy to only use one tool if that is all you want. It is a bit awkward to enclose for higher temperature printing but it is doable. I used Filastruder as a parts source for most things - perfect one stop source. Excellent build instructions.

they have Trident (latest design, series 1)

The Trident is newer than the Voron 2.4?

And the bed moves on Z instead of the XY gantry?

                Thanks.

@fcwilt, yes, the Trident is a newer design.

V1 and V2 mean Voron1 or Voron2, as in a product line rather than a version. It's a common source to confusion hence the move to real names such as switchwire and trident.

The main differences are that trident has a bed that moves up/down on three leadscrews while V2.4 (version 4 of Voron2) the bed is static at the bottom and the head moves up/down on 4 belts.

There are theoretical pros and cons for each but the general thinking is that they have about the same material capabilities, speed and quality and the difference is a matter of personal taste or 'coolness'.

Here is the Trident announcement https://youtu.be/Be4GaSCAGU0 , the guy at the bottom left is the Voron founder.

@peirof another option is the BLV MGN cube. You can get kits on Aliexpress that are reasonably complete. It also uses a Duet WiFi by default (though all the kits will come with cloned boards, but you can get them without the board and buy a proper one)
The design and documentation might be slightly less complete than the Vorons, but I think its a slightly simpler machine which might be easier to setup.
Either that got go for a complete printer out of the box e.g. an Ender 5

E3D TC with D3Mini and Toolboards.
Home-built CoreXY, Duet Wifi, Chimera direct drive, 2x BMG, 300x300x300 build volume
i3 clone with a bunch of mods

                          Hi,
I'm tired of my delta printer....
The last thing is that another duet board has fallen, and it's the second...

I'd start over building a new printer only when I've found the reason for the Delta to grill Duets.
If it's lack of knowledge or some misunderstood documentation, your next project will fail, too. 😞

Sorry, if it sounds harsh, but I'm trying to save you some money..

                              think you have reason....

It is the great fear that I have, that I mount a new printer, and that for something that does not do well ... I will burn a Duet plate again ... But the other option is almost worse, if I change the Duet plate, in my current one printer, without changing practically anything ... I'm condemned to fry another board ... and I don't know how to get out of that loop .... when the Duet v2 board arrived, I was happy because it had more fuses than 1, and I thought that he was protected ... but apparently it wasn't enough.

My biggest fear, mounting a new printer, and burning another duet board again .... but I DON'T know how to deal with the problem

@peirof main thing to do is to test. Get a multimeter and test all your connections. Check for shorts to ground, shorts to Vin etc.

Reading your other thread, it sounded like you had a short somewhere in your hotend wiring which needed diagnosing and fixing before the Duet was powered up... even if the Duet has fuses, they take a (small) amount of time to blow so won't always protect your board from that kind of damage

I haven't seen that thread, but another where a Duet1 board has a burnt driver chip. The error seems to be in wiring/electronics mishaps.

For the moment I have 2 preselected printers:

                                      • Rat Rig V-Core 3
                                      • Voron Trident

Its easier purchase Rat Rig components...

                                      Some options of those printers?

I'm studying the options, for the moment I think I'm staying with the Ratrig...

Maybe I like the idea of the Voron better... But the configured Ratrig website, makes getting the components much easier than the voron.

I have a doubt, after using the configurator, I do not know if you have tried it ...

And it is that when choosing the board gives you the option of Duet v3 mini (it is the idea I had, for that perfect face) but adds:

                                          • Duet 3 mini
                                          • v1 WiFi with Duet v3 (I suppose I guess this will be to add WiFi to the duet 3 mini)
                                          • Dual steppers expansión board (Ratrig uses 5 steppers motors, duet 3 mini have 5 drivers... Why this expansión board?)

Someone can give me feedback about these printer?

                                          Thanks
