I can't see anything obvious on that smart effector. Since this particular smart effector is still within warranty and we can't see any obvious damage we will authorize a replacement. Please contact your seller and initiate a warranty exchange.
Thanks. I was mostly interested in whether all pins of the 8-pin connector had been soldered (they have), and whether both sides of inductor L1 were soldered down (which is hard to tell from your photo, but unlikely not to be).
I suggest you use your multimeter to measure the resistance between H+ and D1 (should be 750 ohms), between the other side of D1 and D9 (0 ohms), between the other side of D9 and D7 (0 ohms), and between the other side of D7 and H- (0 ohms).
