@imrj said in goes off bed when probing:

I have a BLtouch setup, works ok except when I do bed mesh compensation the bltouch goes off the bed because is 50MM offset from the extruder. The duet seems to account for the offset distance set on the config.g for G28 and Bed Auto Compensation, but for G29 it goes off the bed....any ideas?

Check that you have set the X and Y offsets of the BLTouch from the nozzle correctly in your G31 command in config.g. Also check that the mesh limits set by your M557 command are within the limits of the bed.

@dc42 cool DC...will look around. I think @Phaedrux was correct it seems the commands between Marlin and Rep arent the same. I use S3D to write out the .gcode files and it is this software which seems to be embedding the wrong commands in the GCODE, not really Octoprint, Octoprint seems to just be issuing whatever commands are in the generated .gcode file. But yet in S3D it has the firmware selection choice one in the same for Marlin and Rep0_1547511134893_2019-01-14_19-10-47.jpg

Your board probably uses a different value reference resistor. The Duet daughter board uses 400 ohms, but some other boards use 430 ohms. You can tell the firmware the value using the R parameter of the M305 command.
